| Was very dissappointed with our tour guide. When he wasn't telling the "stories" at the sights he was busy talking to other members of the tour about unrelated things. In addition, they need to carry some kind of system so those of us who are farther behind can hear what is being said. With the cars going by, it was difficult at times and we were young. Price was okay but I am unsure of why we have to pay a service charge when it helps them out in the long run to know how many tickets are sold ahead of time. I was told by my friends that the tours are better in Savannah. | ||||||

| Tour had lots of great stories. Told in a manner that was chilling. Just wished more of the jail could have been seen. | ||||||

| My friend and I were both immensely entertained, as well as getting educated about some of the more interesting and dark secrets of Charleston's past. Our guide was interesting, knowledgeable, and handled the difficulties of Halloween overbooking at the Dungeon tour site with a professional grace and finesse that impressed me greatly. I don't know if the swinging chain in the Dungeon was rigged or not, but it certainly spooked us! | ||||||

| My Fiance and I went on Halloween night. First of all I could tell they didn't do anything special in the tours Halloween night versus another night which was a let down. It was definitely more of a history lesson than a ghost tour. If it had more stories of actual "ghosts" and how they died, it might be more interesting and spooky. Then maybe even ways to scare the patrons while in the Dungeon? | ||||||

| We had a great time on the Haunted Jail tour. It wasn't scary, but was very interesting and fun to see inside the old jail. It was one of the best tours we went on. | ||||||

| The guide seemed quite knowledgeable. However, we were not sure if he was telling everything as it had been "handed down", so to speak, or heavily embellishing. We love ghost stories...but we also love history and want our stories to be as accurate as possible. He did have great pictures sent to him by prior ghost walkers when their cameras and picture-taking divulged images of interest and those were enjoyable. We would recommend this tour to others as you can't beat a walk through Charleston at night no matter the storyteller. | ||||||

Too few stories, stories too long

| The tour we took only visited 3 locations - 2 buildings and the cemetery. But the 2 locations prior to the cemetery we didn't even really go to those locations - we stood a block or two away. For example, when visiting the Poogan's Porch we stood in a random parking lot the didn't even have a good view of the restaurant. I would have rather been on the street where we could at least see the porch that the story was about. Then, when we were in the cemetery the big story wasn't even about that cemetery but something that happened 30 miles away. The stories in general were WAY too long and drawn out - got very boring. I would not recommend this tour. I would recommend someone read stories online or in a book and walk themselves around downtown to see those locations. I would be more interested in getting to places where I might have a chance of capturing a ghost on film (should it/they really exist) like the actual buildings or yards that they supposedly haunt. | ||||||

| I ordered tickets for the Jail tour because we wanted something scary to do for Halloween. One of my best friends and her husband came with me to Charleston and she loves scary events. This tour was advertised to be one of the scariest in Charleston but honestly it wasn't. I am a huge chicken when it comes to that kind of stuff and it really didn't scare me at all. The scariest thing was some of the other people on the tour. Our tour guide, AJ, did a great job with the history of the jail and he was a good story teller. I thought he did a wonderful job. I also realize that ghosts don't always come out when you want them to, I mean how scary would that be. Overall I would recommend Bulldog tours to anybody that wants to learn the history of Charleston and wants to get a few chills up their spine. The jail tour just wasn't what I was expecting. Thank you for the opportunity to give you my comments. I love Charleston and would definitely come back for another vacation. | ||||||

Spooky Disappointment

| We enthusiastically signed up for a Halloween Ghost & Graveyard tour. Our excitement waned during a 60 (instead of the advertised 90) minute walk with only 3 stops/stories. The tour abruptly ended at the Unitarian Church Graveyard, leaving us more than 1/2 mile from our start point with vague directions back to where we started. Our guide was nice and a good story-teller. There was a lot of fluff around the stories - the core part was slim. | ||||||

| We decided over a year ago to have our own Halloween party. We'd spent many years enjoying handing out candy to trick or treaters and decided the next time we'd do something for ourselves. So, this is what we chose to do and we weren't disappointed! We'll probably do it again next year. As much as we enjoyed handing out candy, this was much better. We're all transplants and the history learned in our city was wonderful. It was so meaningful to have learned it from another person, as opposed to reading it in a book. Our guide did a wonderful job. I'd recommend this as an alternative for kids and adults alike. | ||||||

| Eric was our tour guide. He was enthusastic and had wonderful stories. A little girl in our tour group was terrified. I thought the stories about the people from history were very interesting, sad, and informative. I enjoyed the graveyard tour and would reccommend it to anyone looking for something fun and different to do. | ||||||

| This was a great tour. Suzanne was amazing and did a wonderful job with the stories. The only bad part was at the end one of the colleges had thier work stations set up in the basement so it took away from the creapy feel. Overall reccommended!! | ||||||
