While the tour guide was informative, it just wasn't scary. Also, there were too many people. The tour has access to one graveyard. But there were 3 groups of us in the graveyard at the same time. It's hard to feel spooky with so many people. Also, not all his info. was correct. Example: the dog Poogan of Poogan's Porch fame, DID NOT get hit by a car. He died a natural death. We ate there. That's what they told us. Mostly it was too crowded. And I didn't get scared.

I enjoyed the tour very much. However, I was not quite as scared as I thought I would be. But the real prize were the orbs I got on my pictures when I got home.

The Charleston Ghost and Dungeon Tour

Parking was available at an extra charge. We left in plenty of time to have 30 minutes before the tour started. After calling the tour office we were told to find a place to park on Market St. That was impossible. We finally found a place on Church St which was about 1/2 mile away. We called the tour office and they directed us to them on foot. The tour had already left and my wife was on crutches but fairly mobile. After the 1/2 mile fast paced walk she was in no shape to "run" to catch the tour. We opted to just head on home and lose the tour fee. There was a total of 3 of us that didn't make the tour and 2 that did. The 2 that did said it was more of a history tour than a Ghost tour. We will not be rescheduling. Thank you Jim Moore

The Charleston Ghost and Dungeon Tour

Our tour guide, 'Hoon, was rude at first rushing us through town without explanation, rude to teens on tour (not in our group), very flat presentation, off topic and not very entertaining. What could have been spooky and fun in the dungeon was more like a museum tour. Not recommended.

Our tour guide was incredible. She was so knowledgeable, enthusiastic and inspirational. You will leave the tour pondering the stories heard on the tour and wishing Rebel Sinclair could tell you more! I would highly recommend this tour. If you're looking for silly spooky, this is not it. It is more interesting than it is spooky.

My co-worker and I did a tour in Charleston on Friday, March 30, 2007. We were very disappointed in our tour. Only two ghost stories were given. We did a lot of walking to only hear 2 ghost stories. We were under the impression that the tour would last for 2 hours. Our tour was finished in less than 1 hour. I had heard so many wonderful reviews about the ghost tours in Charleston. We definitely did not have the same tour that other friends and family of mine had experienced. We participated in the 9:30 pm tour. Maybe we participated in the wrong tour, but the gentleman who guided the tour never asked us for our names. I will not recommend this tour to anyone planning to visit Charleston. Respectfully submitted, Georgia Armstrong

But it didn't. she really enjoyed the tour as we all did. Suzann was an awesome tour guide...I think the guide could really make a difference. We've done the 'ghost walks' in Charleston before, but this was by far the most intense! It was well worth the money!

The Darkside of Charleston Tour (Rated R)

The tour itself and the tour guide were fine. It was just that our expectations were different. We got interesting stories and a history lesson on Charleston. But we were expecting access to places the general public does not have, along with "Ghost" stories on the "Darker side of Charleston". Ironically, there was not one mention of a Ghost ...

First off, it appears that Zerve messed up. I bought (and was charged) on-line six adult tickets. When arriving at the Bulldog office, they were informed by Zerve (Bulldog's claim) that there were only two people on my reservation, not six. Since the city of Charleston has a limit on the number of folks on these walking tours, and there was now a total of 24 with our six), this was a big problem. Bulldog was very nice about it, they got four people to take a different tour and comp'ed them tickets for another tour on another day. Our tour started about 25 minutes late due to this problem. About the tour itself. The guide was very knowlegable and humerous. But he talked rather softly and with a considerable southern accent which not all of us in our party was used to. Also many of his stops were where traffic was busy and/or loud which made hearing and understanding him even more difficult.

OUR GUIDE GINGER, WAS VERY KNOWLEDGABLE AND MADE OUR TOUR AN UNFORGETABLE EXPERIENCE. MY 15 YEAR OLD DAUGHTER CALLED IT "AWSOME". WISH IT WOULD HAVE LASTED LONGER.

Our tour guide was very nice and did a pretty good job of telling her stories. However, our family learned some very cool ghost stories and saw parts of Charleston that made our tour very enjoyable. We spent an additional three days visiting the city and revisited every stop on the tour to see it in the day light. We have a 13 year old son who really enjoyed the tour and also learned some history! We've told all of our friends and family that they need to make Charleston a vacation destination and to definitely do the ghost walk.

This was a great tour and would do again in a heartbeat! The tour and stories were wonderful and very well told. It was exciting and creepy at the same time. Steve (and Floyd) were fabulous. I highly recommend Bull Dog tours.

This tour was great and will even get better when the entire jail is restored. The building is really spooky and some of the stories of what went on in that place are crazy. The living quarters in that jail are amazing. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. Ginger was our tour guide and had some great personal experiences of her own to share.

We showed up with an open mind and figured that the rated R tag was a gimmick. We were wrong. The tour, while a little too focused on about 3 stories was entertaining, funny, and informative. The guide was knowledgeable and all the while emphasized a sense of humor. He was more than willing to answer questions and seemed to be an expert on most of what he was talking about. The description says 90 minutes of walking but is more accurately about 20 minutes of walking and 70 minutes of listening to the guide and uncovering details on the scene. My girlfriend and I found that the guides tone vividly brought you back in history to a world filled with crime and prostitution. I would recommend this to anyone without children who is looking for a good time and a few good laughs. The tour left me wanting to experience the other ones offered.
