Bulldog Tours

The tour was definitely fun and we all LOVED going to the Dixie Bake Shop and Nick's BBQ was fantastic as well. The tasting at the cookbook shop was okay and I was very happy to be shown the spice shop as many of us returned the next day to buy things that we HAD to have but didn't really fall in with a "tasting" tour, in my opinion. The tour guide, while quite knowledgeable about both Charleston and the food industry/cooking, was a bit stiff and didn't really ooze the southern charm and vivacity that was needed to keep this tour exciting.

We really learned a lot about the city of Charleston. It was very interesting and the tour guide knew a lot.

This was the best part of our trip to Charleston. Every restaurant that was recommended was great. We had so much fun on the tour and tasted some really good food.

I enjoyed seeing and hearing about the jail. It was spooky later at night. I DID NOT enjoy getting there. We had no trouble following the map but felt like we should have been warned about the area we were walking into. At almost 10:00 at night 2 females should not have been walking into a very scary part of town. We called and arranged for a bicycle taxi to meet us after but they also let us down and did not show up!!! We ran all the way back to King St.

We enjoyed the tour with our hostess very much. She was very knowledgable,courteous and enjoyable.would recommend to anyone who visits.

Our guide, Braxton, was really nice and very informed. He peppered the walk between tour locations with tidbits about Charleston history and recommendations for bars and restaurants. The stories were entertaining and funny as well!

We booked the haunted jail tour for 10 pm. I don't think that any of us (a group of 4 women) had any idea what to expect but were ready (and terrified) to be scared. The tour guide gave great descriptions on the history of the jail house, of inmates that were housed there, and of theories/tales of spirits that still reside in the jail house. I and my friends are firm believers in spirits/ghosts. However, we did feel that the tour guide was too scripted and seemed to repeat what he told to every other group. I don't know how that could be changed other than not to say 'I rarely say this' because you know he says it all the time. :) Overall, it was a great tour. Perfect amout of history, scare, and plenty left for the imagination. Would have preferred a little more time on the tour (it was only 45 minutes) but I don't know what else we could have seen or heard.

I love this tour. The past two times visiting Charleston, this tour has been a must. A combination of history along wtih stories of ghost and sightings makes this more than your average tour.

Way better than a typical ghost tour. Very creepy, and the guide told some great stories!!

Learned alot of facts about Charleston and had some great new tastes. tour guide was very good.

My group ranged from 15 yrs old to 60. We had a great time.food was excellent.,We didnt expect as much quantity as we were served and were quite full afterwards.Definitely would recommend and well worth the value.

I ran across this tour while searching for a haunted jail tour and I am so glad that I did. This tour was the perfect fit to a Saturday morning. The restaurant, sweet shop, and tea/spice shops were a fantastic combination. The tour guide gave us great recommendations for breakfast, lunch, and dinner stops. The pace was perfect; we never felt rushed and were given ample time to ask questions and shop around in the shops. Highly recommend this tour!
