	Interesting, a little thought provoking The Charleston Haunted Jail Tour

	The tour guide was wonderful and really knew her stuff. I was best going at night on the tour for the full effect. It was a nice walk from Bulldog tours but if going late at night i suggest going by car. it is not in a great neighborhood. you will have a amazing time if you go open-minded. we (my husband) took tons of pictures and i suggest the same.

	This tour provided a look at some of the popular ghost stories from Charleston as well as a tour of the dungeon. Tour guide was funny and enthusiastic. Would recommend.

	Me and my friend that I took this tour with are both self described chickens and were a bit nervous. Our fears were however unfounded (at least with out group). The guide was entertaining and we were glad we had him when we passed another group where their guide was literally reading the tour to them. The only thing that disappointed us was we expected to actually go inside the haunted places. of the 5 or 6 places we visited we only physically went inside the dungeon, other wise we stood outside on the street and looked in the windows of the so called haunted locations from afar. Even us chickens wanted a bit more of a eerie encounter that standing on a street corner and hearing ghost stories. Otherwise, it was awesome and entertaining.

	We were able to reschedule after Tropical Storm Ernesto came through. It was an enjoyable walk filled with nice historical information that adds a different level of appreciation for Charleston.

	This activity was a great date idea. Our tour guide was very informative and it was worth every penny. You really get to see a side of Charleston that most people don't get to see. The stories are fantastic and Charleston is the perfect backdrop.

	It was a great history lesson, however, my husband and i were disappointed that we didn't see or hear any ghosts. Our guide told us about the numerous ghost encounters that have occured on that sight, however, I think 50% of the stories were nothing but hype. I would definetly recommend the tour if you're interested in the history of Charelston and if you're interested in relic buildings as we are. It's a cool place to visit, but we would have liked to have seen more of the building that was off limits.

	The tour was very nice and the feeling was great on a dark graveyard. I never visit a graveyard in the night before ... try it, its great and spooky. If you believe in ghost, you will hear a lot of fancy stories.

	I can't complain - this was a very fun thing to do while in town and allowed us to see the city at night and hear stories. I was hoping it was going to be scarier though. And I also wondered how realistic some things were. For example, while in the dungeon, we were alerted to the fact that a chain was moving on its own. I did see it moving and it kept going for awhile but I'm still not convinced it was for real and not just a scam so that tourists would think they saw something. I would definitely recommend going though since it's not that expensive and is something cool to do at night.

	This tour was basically a walking tour through the city at night, with one stop in the old city jail. The other stops were at street-corners or in parks. About 5 "ghost stories" were told, all but 1 of which could have been told anywhere (ie, the location at which we stopped had no bearing at all on the story). The first stop (at the jail) was more interesting than the rest, given that (a) we were in an interesting location, and (b) the stories were related to the location. As I said before, the rest of the tour could have been undertaken (pardon the pun!) at any location in town, at any time of day. To her credit, our guide (Barbara) did her best to deliver the stories through her somber, dead-pan delivery. There are so many graveyards in town, I'm surprised that none of these were visited. All in all, it definitely was not worth the $17 price.

	Taking the Dark Side Tour as your very 1st tour in Charleston is a great way to go! The next day our group took the much tamer tours such as a carriage ride and we were able to see the city in a whole different light thanks to the Dark Side Tour.
