Bulldog Tours

We loved the Dungeon Ghost Tour. My children love hearing about ghosts and myths. Being able to enter the dungeon and hear it's history and also the history of the building was very interesting. Our guide was a very friendly and very informative about all the history and things she showed us during the tour. It was not a scary tour for pre-teen and teenagers. We really enjoyed it. But, my teenage daughter said she was happy we went to the dungeon at the 7PM tour instead of the 9PM. The dungeon was a little dark but there was still light shining from outside in the small windows. I think they might have been scared if it was completely dark on the later tour.

For history, there was good info., but as a ghost tour it was not very exciting.

Our guide wasn't a great story teller and it seemed a little forced in some places. The stories were interesting but not really scary. I learned some interesting facts about Charleston but it didn't give me any chills or scare me. I wouldn't do this tour again if given the chance.

We thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Our guide was fantastic and the information was entertaining!

hard to understand guide, really didn't see much, longest 1.5 hours of my life, very disappointing

I wasn't expecting to see any ghosts in there especially since it was still light out during the tour. However, once you get a look at this building you are definitely going to want to go inside no matter what time of day, ghosts or no ghosts. It looks like something out of a horror movie and made me want to know more about what went on in there. Glen was a great guide and knew all the history of the jail which was very cool. I was more interested in the history of the prison anyway and I learned a lot. I would recommend this tour to anyone who has the time while in beautiful Charleston.

I liked the tour but we did not tour the jail only went in a few rooms.would liked to have seen more....

We enjoyed the ghosts and graveyards tour very much. Unfortunately, we took the 9:30 pm tour and there was a very loud party going on beside the one graveyard we actually went inside. This was very distracting. Could a change not have been made to the itinerary, having us go inside another graveyard that wasn't quite so noisy? We were also disappointed that we weren't allowed more time to look around. We were basically taking pictures on the run. The rest of the tour went very well. We were told we would walk 1 mile - this should be mentioned in advance for those who have difficulty walking long distances. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, although long-winded at times. We were also sorry that we couldn't stay another day in Charleston and visit the places in the daylight. We do recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston.

My group really enjoyed the tour and the guide was very nice. He knew what he was talking about and he gave a great description of each story he told. Would highly recommend.

Tour was boring, only went to 4 places...not what we expected....It may have just been our guide.... Did take another tour with another company on our second night and it was great..

Interesting but only mildly entertaining. Some of the ghost stories seemed to be extensively elaborated upon. I am a generalized skeptic to most things supernatural, so that is my fault for not getting into the story more. Heck, we even saw some "orbs" in a picture we took but a basic review of heck, even Wikipedia reveals the cause of these. All and all our tour guide was fun, but seems a steep price for a very average tour.
