Bulldog Tours

It was an okay tour. I would recomend this to someone but I would suggest going at night. It just isn't the same during the day. :(

our guide referred to himself as the science teacher, and he was very entertaining and informative.

We all enjoyed our tour and would recommend it to everyone. We have two boys 10 and 13 and they really liked it too. Walking through the graveyards was really interesting and the stories were great.

Have been on this tour and several of others offered by Bulldog and have always, always been satisfied. Will always choose this tour group over others in area especially when bringing first timers for a tour.

I was disappointed in this tour. I thought we'd spend more time in the dungeon and also thought that the walking part of the tour would take us to other local haunted spots and not just to park areas to be told stories about the other spots.

I absolutely loved the jail tour, inside and out. I only wish we had been able to see more of the inside (we saw 2 rooms and the basement). Friends of mine have taken this tour quite a few times and tell me how much of the interior they see differs on time of year and how much work is going on at the time.

Our tour guide, Lane , was very knowlegeable and knew vast details about history that we never would have heard about on one of the group tour buses. Very interesting, little know facts about Charleston. My boyfriend and I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. Half the fun was listening to Lane's authentic "Charlestonian" accent. Would highly recommend for all.....Yankees may wish to bring a translator or a "How to Speak Southern" dictionary, rather than bashing Lane's accent!!

I am planning on going back. Next time I go, It will be the late tour and I will bring a flash light and camera. Very intertaining.

Myself (local) and my best friend (international) went on this tour on the 2nd day of her visit. It was a GREAT introduction to the different Charleston food variety, restaurants, and food related shops. We were able to identify different restaurants to go to based on what we tasted during this tour. The tour was paced perfectly (not too fast, not too slow) and we loved our very classy tour guide. I would recommend to locals & tourists!!

I recently moved to the Charleston area and my best friend came to visit. We both love history and interesting facts. Our guide was very informed and educated on the topics.

My little cousins really enjoyed the ghost and dungeon tour. I really enjoyed the storytelling and the facts to back them up.

Since it is a R-rated tour, we thought it would be more provocative one. The information that the tour guide gave us was nothing new. I thought we should have taken the "Ghost Tour" instead of this. The tour was very disappointing.

I've been on several other ghost tours and although they haven't been able to take you inside the graveyards, they told a lot more stories and took you to more locations around town. This tour was 90mins and we heard exactly three stories. We were all disappointed. Plus, one of the stories was a story we'd heard on another tour. It was nice to be out and about in Charleston during the evening....but that's about all I can say on a postive note about this tour. I did go with Bulldog tours to the old City Jail and that was a good tour. I'd recommend that tour before the ghost walk.

Our guide was very knowledgeable and a great storyteller however it wasn't worth anywhere near $18. We were expecting a lot more excitement and knowing that students are working in the jail during the day it ruined the scare factor even more.

The lady who was giving the tour was very nice, and fairly knowledgeable. She did seem to zip from one location to another, stop at one spot to point out a few things, then zip on to the next spot. Given the amount of locations to cover on the tour it made sense she had to keep it short and sweet, but maybe next time a little more leisurely or talking while walking may be extra nice. It's not really a complaint, just a suggestion, if possible.
