The Bloomfield Tour was awesome. It was the second time I took the Tour. The first tour was with my husband, this tour was with my girlfriends. Merante gifts is a special surprise "secret" part of the tour that should be experienced by all. My friends were truly amazed by the history Gabe gave us of the area, the delicious food and shopping experience. We loved being able to attend the Catholic Churches both for visits and mass.

Very good tour guides and nice way to see a neighborhood that we otherwise did not know much about.

Recommended!! (only 1 minor complaint)

We are from the Pittsburgh area and have never been to Bloomfield besides just passing through while driving so I thought this would be a neat date idea. Before attending the tour, I was worried that there would not be enough food for my significant other and we would have to stop somewhere after. This was not the case at all! We were provided with plenty of food samplings (all super delicious)! In addition, the tour guides were very helpful and had plenty of information on the area. The only complaint I have is that one of the food stops along the way was a make-your-own frozen yogurt establishment. These are all over the Pittsburgh area. I would have preferred if this was a bit more "authentic" food stop that was unique to the area. Perhaps a wine tasting? Anything else uniqie to the area would have been better! Overall though I was very satisfied with the tour and look forward to attending more!

An enjoyable afternoon

The tour guides were friendly! The content of the neighborhood/food info given by them was ok (a few rather interesting facts, a few seemingly exaggerated). As for the food, I live locally so none of it was new to me but it was pretty good. Nothing spectacular. I am a vegetarian and the substitution they gave me was good one time but made me feel I wasn't getting my money's worth the other (coleslaw). I am glad I did it though: a pleasant way to spend a sunny winter afternoon.

Our family of four thoroughly enjoyed the tour of Little Italy. The history shared was very interesting and the stops were perfect. Everyone that we met was very warm and friendly. And the food sample portions were very generous - certainly enough for a meal! The two hour time frame was very good. And our tour guide, Gabe, was great - knowledgeable and personable. We have already recommended the tour to friends.

Enjoyable afternoon

We had a delightful afternoon on the food tour of Little Italy (Bloomfield) tasting the delicious samples from the shops and restaurants which was more than enough to be a late lunch. The history of the neighborhood was educational to hear along with the store owners' descriptions of their goods and Italian food making processes. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a an enjoyable way to spend a couple hours experiencing one of Pittsburgh's historic neighborhoods and come hungry.

Wonderful trip through Bloomfield.

I am local, and I am an Italian, so I wanted to try this tour. The host, Gabe, is a warm, friendly, and knowledgeable guide. I took a Strip District Tour with him recently, and I learned so much more about this area. I liked the Bloomfield tour tremendously because we met and talked with many of the owners. They are very proud of their businesses, and it shows. The food was delicious and abundant! My husband and I finished the tour at 3:30 p.m., and we did not eat another bite the rest of the evening. I intend to try each of the Burgh Bits and Bites tours.

I purchased this event as a gift. I sent an email in order to purchase a Gift Certificate and no one responded to my email. I then had to buy the tickets. I did so but the people I purchased them for couldn't go because of previous plans, therefore the gift was useless. You really need to respond to the emails or work out a PayPal account to purchase Gift Certificates on line, it is the 21st century.

Fun Day

Tour guide very informative about area and history. Two groceries that prepare their own pasta and sauces. Pizza place ok. Yogurt nice but kind of new. Then hamburger restaurant. All in all, fun day, and we were stuffed. Purchased sauce and homemace raviolis.
