We really enjoyed the tour! It was fun to hear more of the history of Charleston, with a kick of spook! |

Can I just say how ridiculously juvenile this tour was?! I took my parents on a few tours while they were in town for their first time on Memorial Day weekend. This ghost tour was the one thing that we were looking forward to the most! Well, it was an absolute joke! I could have told better ghost stories than our tour guide told! He didn't really seem to know too much about the details and background of the ghost stories. It was a tour for 3rd graders...if not younger! We were in a group of 10, all of whom were in their mid-20's and older. At the end of the tour we all just stood around and complained about how horrible it was. Hey, at least we all became friends by making fun of the waste of money the tour was!
I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR FOR ANYONE OVER THE AGE OF 10! |

I thought the tour was good, although it would have been nice to know that commercial tours aren't allowed in residential areas - which is quite a bit of the historic district - after 5pm. Our guide was very personable and easy to follow, but his voice didn't carry over the city noises very well. |

Get out and be with people. Great tourguide. Nice loud , deep clear voice. Corny in an endearing way. Quite a charmer with lots of passion for his town and making sure everyone enjoyed.

we had a hard time hearing the person talking. The history was interesting but they could have done a better job telling the stories. It also would have been fun if we could have gone in some of the places where the stories took place. It was not worth the money. |

I would not recommend this tour. We were very excited for it and it was NOT good. The tour guide was not an effective speaker. He had his facts down but his delivery fell short -- he paced back and forth, he was long-winded, he built NO suspense. I wanted to be scared a bit and instead we were BORED. I'd actually like my money back. It was bad. The tour guide was a nice guy - I actually kind of felt sorry for him because you can tell he was trying, he just wasn't gifted in this area.

Our guide was pleasant enough, and very informative/entertaining, but we had expected to actually be able to enter some of the "haunted haunts," in hopes of feeling a sudden chill or catching a glimpse of something in the corner of our perifery.... Much to our disappointment, though, our tour was limited to ghost stories told on the sidewalk. While they were wonderful stories, the total atmosphere of the experience amounted to a somewhat less than hair-raising walk under the relative safety of the street lights and palmettos. |

After being left behind with four other people due to bad description of the location to meet (two fountains in the park), the tour guide just didn't seem to be too enthused once we caught. The stories were delivered half-heartedly at best. Then at the end after being turned around several times in a strange city, in the dark, the tour leader seemed utterly shocked that we might need directions back to where we started (thank goodness for the map we had). I am staying neutral because maybe one of the other tour guides would be better. |
