My husband and I were in town for a business meeting, and a group of employees decided to take the tour. We met infront of the fountain and were divided into 2 separte groups. My husband and I were the only ones to be in a different group. It was a nice night out, and the lady who did our tour was a very good story teller. She new a lot about the area other than just the ghost stories and even provided us with quick versions of other stories we heard as we were passing other groups. I only had 2 disappointments with tour. I thought that we would have been a little more involved with the actual place. It really took away for the whole thing by looking at it from such a far distance and trying to figure out if you were looking at the correct thing. My other issue was that we were not taken back to the same location we started at. We are from Houston, TX and have never traveled there before. Our tour ended with us in the middle of downtown, and we told that she would give us directions to any where we wanted to go. It maybe out of the way for the tour guide, but I strongly feel we should have been taken back to the starting locations. We had arrived that day and had been in meetings all day. We did not have any time to explore the city yet. We had no idea where we were and we told some directions, and were left to find our way back. Then our group ended about 20 minutes before the other group ended and then we had to wait for them to walk (they were just given directions also).
Overall it was a nice tour. I enjoyed the stories, and would recommened it and a map. |

If you have never been on a ghost tour, this is a fun thing to do. However, we have been on a few of them in other cities. St. Augustine Florida has the best tour we have been to. On this one the stories were long, and there were not enough stops. |

We participated in the tour a few weeks ago with friends from out of town and their children. Our guide was an older gentleman with gray hair and a beard.
While our guide was personable and probably a history buff, the entertainment factor was certainly missing. He told us flat, boring ghost stories about places we were near - not places we could actually go inside or see in any matter at all. The stories weren't scary and it seemed like we were grasping at straws just to keep our eyes open. This wasn't the case just in our group, but it was evident on the faces of others in our tour. The vibe was like, "We paid $18 for this?"
I don't blame the bore-fest soley on our guide. He clearly didn't have much suitable content to work with and was grasping at straws himself just to get through it. |

I HAVE TAKEN A SIMILAR TOUR IN BALTIMORE THAT WAS BETTER. THE TOUR DID NOT HAVE THE TON OF PUNS/JOKES LIKE THE CHARLESTON TOUR. THE BALTIMORE TOUR HAD MORE TALES THAN THE CHARLESTON TOUR; THE CHARLESTON TOUR HAD ONLY ABOUT THREE STRONG TALES. JMR |

This is the 2nd time I have taken a ghost walk with visiting family from this company. The first time was great, this time was not so good. The difference is probably the luck of the draw on what tour guide is assigned. |

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about the history of Charleston and very nice. We really enjoyed the tour Eon gave and would recommend him to our friends and family. |

It was a good tour for all ages. It gives a personal touch to the buildings of Charleston. I personally would have liked to go into a building or graveyard to get a spooky feeling but our 6 year old may not have been okay with that. He was bored with the stories so I recommend age 10 and up. There are brick and cobblestone streets so you have to watch your step and wear comfortable shoes. There was a family that had 2 children in strollers and they had a tough time on those streets. So to sum up: small children will not be scared but may be bored, wear comfortable shoes, strollers are in for a bumpy ride, and enjoy the interesting ghost tales. |

Ian was our guide and he's EXTREMELY knowledgeable about Charleston history and the ghost stories.... however, he tries too hard to be dramatic. Enjoyed the tour, but not nearly as much as similar tours in Savannah and New Orleans. |

Our tour guide arrived five minutes early at the designated meeting place with a lighted cigarette in hand. He proceeded to smoke two more cigarettes while we waited for the remaining guests to arrive. My wife and I and our two children went off by ourselves and stood some distance away so that we didn't have to breathe in the second-hand smoke. Once the tour started, our guide put out his cigarette and didn't smoke during the tour itself, but he lit up again as soon as the tour was over. Although the tour itself was great and our guide was knowledgeable, exposing the rest of us to his smoking habit was inconsiderate and unprofessional. |
