We enjoyed the ghost stories on the tour, and our guide seemed to be having fun too. The kids in our party, ages 4, 5 & 8, would probably have preferred a shorter ghost walk, but they remembered some of the stories days later and shared them with other people who weren't on the tour with us. |

Our tour guide was really entertaining and knowledgeable. My husband and I really enjoyed the tour! The most amusing part was the first ghost he talked about was one at our inn - The Battery Carriage Inn!! I would recomend this tour. We had a small group and asked lots of questions to which our tour guide was more than happy to answer. |

We were a group of seven. Four adults, two teenagers and one pre-teen. The kids really enjoyed our guide. He was a college student and I guess that was why. The adults were disappointed with the presentation itself. When we first started our tour at South End Brewery, I found the guide went on and on. Monotone. Got lost in his own thoughts. By the end of the tour he seemed to got better, but still had the moments of losing his train of thought. I expected a bit more "drama" for a ghost tour and our one teenager in the group (who read your book) said there were other stories much better than the ones our tour guide told us. |

We arrived a little early at our designated spot. There were no signs or guides around and it was very dark so we were not really sure we were in the right place. Our guide did show up on time, but he was smoking a cigar and continued to do so for the next 20 minutes! There were only 6 people on the tour so it was a nice size group. The problem was that the guide (Brandon) who told us he owned his own tour company and was just helping this one out tonight as a favor, seemed to be in a big hurry. He walked and talked extremely fast. There were about 4 or 5 good stories. He seemed to know his stuff and could have probably given a very good tour except for the fact he seemed to be in a hurry. Our tour that was supposed to last 80 minutes only lasted 60, so we were very disappointed in that. When the tour was over we were about 6 blocks from our car and where we started so he gave us quick directions back and then disappeared. Overall it had the potential to be very good, but it was a let down. I would only recommend this tour to a friend after I had warned them first. |

My soon-to-be fiancee and I were the only participants during the Ghost Walk time for which we registered, and we were treated to an enthusiastic, engaging tour guide - a College of Charleston student who spent over an hour's worth of extra time with us, providing not only well-told ghost stories but plenty of other anecdotes about life in Charleston. He was highly entertaining and we enjoyed every minute! |

tour guide was informative and entertaining, learned some of the history of Charleston, but the ghost stories were a bit weak and we expected to go inside some of the buildings not just walk outside, would have liked a little more subsatance to the tour... |

The tour had only 4-5 stops but was interesting.. |

Daughter age 13 liked it. Some people in group complained that the guide spoke too fast and rushed the tour. |

Best ghost tour I have been on in Charleston area. |

I recently had a colleague/friend visit Charleston for the first time. We decided to sign up for a ghost tour. I was concerned that the tour might be bad, and send my colleague/friend away with not so fun memories of Charleston.
I have been on tours by other companies that were so boring we almost walked off the tour. I have read your ghost book, and my husband recommended the tour because of Mr. Buxton. This tour was really good - I was pleasantly surprised!
The guide was fun and knew his history well. My colleague/friend really enjoyed the tour too. We both had trouble sleeping after the tour... she in her hotel room and me in my house thinking about that headless ghost!
The tour had alot to do with the guides fun attitude, knowledge of Charleston history, and honesty... I think his name was John. |
