I loved the tour and even got my book autographed! I especially loved concluding the tour in the theater, with the lights out, listening to the brutal story of the poor man beaten to death at the Garden Theater. I even ended up in the 'haunted' seat! GReat tour, great guide, lots of fun!

The tour was outright NOT SCARY AT ALL...... the guide was really nice and really knowledgable, but the content was not scary, creepy or in any way "ghostly". It was more historical in nature.... my 10 year old niece could tell scarier ghost stories....

all this tour consisted of was a history lesson. there was nothing remotely scary about it. the leader walked us around a block, and told a couple of stories (more history than horror) about some buildings that we were not allowed to go in, or even near. We literally heard stories about buildings that were not even in our eyesight. very disappointing!!!!

I've lived in Charleston my entire life, but I've never taken a ghost tour. This was fabulous! I had a large and rowdy group of friends in town and I was worried they wouldn't settle down for the tour, but they all loved it. Very satisfied!

| I invited some friends to join my husband and I to take the tour. They were local residents, we were from out of town and had read about the tour in Southern Living.
We were all excited and looking for an lively evening of charm and history. We all love history and our friends were eager to learn about the historical "spirits" of their adopted town. Our guide showed up inappropriate dress of short-shorts and delivered her corny script in a monotone. The overpriced event left alot to be desired.
And I felt let down plus I was embarassed that I had talked my friends into going.
We obviously picked the wrong tour group. |

I had high expectations about the tour, so I thought I would fell let down. That was not the case. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and told good stories, both ghost and historical fact and trivia. The only negative comments I have is that we left at least fifteen minutes late and fifteen or more minutes was spent with the history of the settlement of Charleston. I would have rather had fifteen extra minutes walking around and having an extra story or two told.

I have taken a ghost tour in two other towns and they were fun, exciting and kind of scary. Maybe it was just the guide we had for this one, but he only told 4 ghost stories, from a historical point of view and the rest of the time he told us history and architecture. Yeah yeah, all that was great, but we got that on the carriage tour we took earlier. We wanted ghost stories! Charleston is one of the most haunted places in America and he wanted to tell us about the great earthquake and how you can tell how old the buildings are. BORING. The tour started at 9:30 and was suppose to end at 11:00. At 11:45 we slipped away from the crowd and headed to our car. Our feet were killing us, the mosquitoes were feeding on us, and I just couldn’t take any more about the construction of Charleston. I honestly want my money back. So save yours, take the carriage tour during the day and find a real ghost story company for night. Good luck!

The tour leader was a college student who was very enthusiastic about her job. She had some good stories to tell. Even though I am a sceptic, I enjoyed the walk through old Charleston and enjoyed the stories.

We were on a trip encompassing Savannah, Charleston and the Great Smokey Mountains. We took ghost tours at each location (basically for the history lesson and not really for the ghost aspect) and the Charleston tour was the best, by far. Ben was our tourguide. He is an amazing story-teller and a great host. He was historically accurate, as well as, interesting and funny.

We had so much fun on this tour. It was by far our favorite activity from our vacation. The tour guide was great. We went back and did another tour we had so much fun. It's a must!
