The tour guide was dynamic yet respectful of the properties we visited. The length of the tour was just right. A nice walk without exhaustion. Charleston is magnificent at night. We have already scheduled to do the tour again.

The content was excellent, and the walking distance fine. However, the guide talked so fast and added so many awkward "innuendos." that it was very difficult to follow him He also had to shuffle through his sachel to find loose photos while we waited, and then we waited longer while people individually looked at them, when he could've easliy had these less than 6 photos organized in a small album and had two copies. We walked through some very bleak alleyways to get to specific areas, and I thought there would be better paths. I would've liked to have gone into Poogan's Porch Restaurant instead of just seeing it from a distance and then rushing by it. My husband, daughter and I found the tour "OK", but we were left disappointed.

There Should be a Plan for Rain Outs

The Five of us went on the Ghost Tour. It cost me over $80.00. Before we could get into the cemetery (the main attraction of this tour),it started to rain (a heavy downpour with bad lightning). The tour guide told us to run under a small porch at the back of a church. He called his office and then told us that he had to return for the next tour. Did anyone want to go in the cemetery? It was lightning and pouring so hard you couldn't hardly see so of course everyone declined. He then told us how we could return to our cars and he was gone. We were visitors who didn't know the city and we had to run through town in a downpour. We were not offered another tour and since it said rain or shine, the money was theirs. If someone had been struck by lightning or had gotten hurt, they could have a BIG Lawsuit on their hands. They got the money so they didn't care what happened to the people. There should be a plan in place where somewhere along the way we could get out of the weather. I was scared that night and it wasn' from seeing a ghost.

Wouldn't do it again

Although the leader was very personable, he was hard to understand and follow. He spoke rapidly and skipped around points so that his stories were disjointed and didn't make much sense. He would leave some aspects of the stories dangling and inconclusive. Maybe better directed to a much younger audience, but even the young people in the group seemed bored. You were often left thinking, "So what?" We've gone on many tours in several US cities and in Europe and this was by far the worst and the most disappointing primarily because of the leader's delivery and content. It wasn't worth the money or the hype.

wonderful guide who was a great storyteller. The tour was rather lengthy and we were disappointed that there were no tours inside of buildings.

My daughters and I truly enjoyed our tour. Our guide was very informative reflecting on the history of certain areas and buildings in Charleston Proper and their inhabitants. I have recommended this to my friends and hope to take advantage of another tour in the near future.

tour was about what we expected. guide shared some stories of interest. guide not prepared for one traveler that had health emergency. guide ended tour over 5 blocks from starting point. 3 older ladies walking down dark streets after 11pm was not a pleasant experience. this was quite a negative surprise for us.

Not enough information or places, boring,

Very disapointing. not enough places or information. Very poor compared to the one we attended in Savanna. There was a couple with children 8 and 11. It was OK for the kids.
