The Ghosts of Charleston Tour - Waterfront Park

Our guide was very knowledgable about the city and history of Charleston. His story telling ability was absolutely absorbing; you just could not tear yourself away from his words. Each stop on the tour had extensive history where the guide captured your imagination and you felt you were back in time reliving the event. The graveyard was one of the best and eeriest that I have ever been in. I do not want to give anything away about the setting. One has to be there to see and feel the experience. I thoroughly enjoyed the haunting of Old Charleston and its ghosts.

We really enjoyed our tour and especially our guide Ian. He was very knowledgable about the places visited as well as history of Charleston. Only negative comment was wish that we visited more ghostly venues.

The tour was the biggest waste in my entire life. Tour guide, Ian could not seem to keep his dates in chronologic order. It was impossible to follow his information. Some information lacked creditability. I would not reccomend this tour to anyone!!!

Tour started almost an hour late due to overbooking. The man over the tour was very knowledgeable. ( younger man who saw the ghost 18 yrs eariler) If not for him, this would have been a total waste of time. We would mainly stand in one place and hear many stories. Then we would move to another location and hear more stories. Basically we heard lots of stories but did not see many locations. I think we may have visited 3 locations. This was very disappointing! The tour through the cemetery was not what I expected. We walked in through a gate looked at one spot and then left. That's it! We also ran into other tours and would have to wait. Another thing that really bothered me was that once the tour was over, the group was pointed in the direction in which the tour started, and then the guy left us there. We had never been to Charleston and were a little lost with no one there to help us.

The guide blended historical information with the "ghost" entertainment element nicely.

The Ghost Tour of Charleston was certainly that of an educational adventure. We learned, not only of the local ghosts of Charleston, but also many historical facts that supported their possible existence. Our tour guide was especially knowledgeable on the subject. He was also very personable. I recommend this tour to anyone with common interests.

Guide gave excellent tour with much information that was easily understood and tour moved at speed that was easy to follow. I thoroughly enjoyed it.

I have taken this tour with many of my visitors - probably 8 - 10 times. Each tour is a little different, even with the same guide so it never gets boring. I have also taken ghost tours by other companies and by far prefer this tour. - - - next time I have visitors, I'll do it again.

We enjoyed the Ghost walk and it was a fun family activity. Ian, the tour guide was educational and entertaining. Would have liked to see a few more buildings. Our 10 year old was a little frightened at bedtime that night only. Would recommend. Reading the book prior to the tour was very helpful.

The tour had some interesting facts that I didn't know about Charleston but the tour director could have been more interesting, too be frank he was boring!! Its a ghost tour, you expect someone who can tell a story and make you be a part of it.
