I went on the Pirate Tour with my 16 year old son and we both enjoyed the tour immensely. Our tour guide was very informative, enthusiastic, and personable which made the tour that much more fun. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston.

The tour was interesting, but it was almost the same as the Story of Charleston. The guide didn't stick to just pirates but talked about whatever he thought interesting. I thought there must have been more on pirates that we could have heard instead.

Very knowledgable tour guide. Takes you to all the important pirate sites in town. Also tour guide was very entertaining. Loved meeting his friend who is a pirate history interpreter.

My family and I were on vacation, and my wife found this tour on the web. Our son is a huge pirate fan. Anyone who does not know the history of pirates in Charleston should take this tour. Our guide was John and he took us on the tour. It was very interesting to know Black Beard was a decent fellow, and Stead Bonner was a bad pirate. Also the other pirates were unique. We learned quit a bit, anyone who does not know much should go on this tour. The tour was terrific and we had a great time. We really enjoyed it, I recomend more people go on this tour.

Rodney, the tour guide was not only personable but very well informed and communicative. Our 7 year old grandson kept up with him the whole way and that is all he talked about on the trip home. We not only learned about pirates and their impact on Charleston, but also some great history. We have told many people about this tour and Rodney. He is a true gem.

The first tour that we were given was done by a person who had no real interest in the tour itself and even made the statement during our walk that "Charleston doesn't really have a whole lot of pirate history." Needless to say we (my son especially) were very disappointed. We called the company to let them know and Leigh (who is the pirate expert on staff) graciously asked that we come back later that day and she would personally give us another tour. The second tour was absolutely wonderful and my son had a great time!

Our tour guide was very informative and easy to be around. It was our favorite tour that we took. If we were to come back and take more tours we would like to have our same tour guide, John.

We regret we missed the Tour. Due to illness of the other person on my reservation, we were unable to attend the event. I would definitely sign up for it again when we return to Charleston next year.
