Our tour guide was funny and knowledgeable- Good luck Ian with future endeavours. He showed us a lot of fact based ghost stories and these are the really scary ones because they are real. We visited the Unitarian graveyard and the St. Phillip Church graveyard via philadelphia alley. These were eerie and interesting. We felt we got value for money and would recommend this tour to everyone who wants to know more about Charleston in general. Ther is still good historic content. Thank you for your tour.

i liked the ghost tour but it was not great . i had an better experience in New Orleans with a haunted tour, and our guide their was awsome. we had also a stop in a local pub where they brewed their own beer, or you could order something else their. so we saw more of new orleans in that tour. this tour was more a thirteen in a dozen one. i think the guides can make the difference during tours but its just an opinion

I have been on many ghost walks in Canada, the U.K. and the U.S.A. and I have to say that this was the most disappointing (and expensive one) that I have been on. The problem was the tour guide (Rina, Rita??), she was very boring, was fuzzy on some of the facts and had no enthusiasm. I felt like I would have had the same experience if i had just followed along from the book. The tour guide needs to be enthusiastic and make it dramatic and dark. It is also nice if they dress for the part and have some humour. I think that if we had a different tour guide I would have enjoyed the tour as i enjoyed the stories and walking around Charleston. I also did a Ghost Trolley in Savannah and it was great.

The information provided on the tour was good. I expected more stories. Easy walk and tour guide was informative but not a storyteller. It was a small group. There were 6 of us in this group.

Enjoyed the walk around town and saw some very neat areas that we would have never found on our own and the stories were entertaining. Professionaly presented and felt perfectly safe the whole time.

Must go

The tour was wonderful. It started on time and the tour guide was very enthusiastic. He told great stories that weren't too frightening but very intriguing. The tour goes around the city and you talk about quite a few "famous" places. I would recommend this to families with small children and people looking for some good tales. If you're looking to be scared silly, this is not for you.

You will be pleasantly spooked!

Kyle, our Guide, was a wonderful conductor into the spookiness of Charleston's history. The whole tour time literally flew by as we moved through the streets, alleys, and graveyards. You will be delightfully spooked by tales; and Kyle's reserve of Charleston's history will bring a whole new prospective on the neighborhood that looks so serene in the daylight. The hair on the back of my neck was standing and tingling from the mid-point of the opening story about Room No 8 at a local Inn to the ending tale of the spinster in the top-floor window of the final stop across the street From the Mill House Inn. Take the plunge, you will be delighted with the tour!

We got started right on time. It was advertized to last 1:20 and it did. The guide likes what he does and this made the tour fun.

We have such a wonderful time on this tour. The group happened to be small, but I think we still would have enjoyed it if it was larger. The guide was knowledgeable, funny and engaging. We will absolutely do this again!

Not worth it
Fri, Jan 4  7:30 PM kikigm60 Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
First, let me say that the tour people were very nice, and when I made a mistake with the dates of the tour, they allowed me to change them. That said, the ghost tour is simply not worth it. We have been on other ghost tours, in New Orleans and Key West. Those tours were excellent. This was boring, and a waste of time. The guide could not make any story seem exciting, or interesting. He completely failed at making us feel any connection with any of the people. Some of the stories were told in settings that were fully unrelated to the tale, simply to fill in the time in between stops. He kept on peppering his stories with recent tales from other countries, like Russia, and he told us his personal story about his father in law passing away, further taking us from the Ghost of Charleston setting. He wasted every chance to make the story exciting., The stop at the Unitarian church , where the body of the first female mass murdered is supposed to be buried, should have been the highlight of the tour. Instead, the tale was told somewhere else, and when we got to the cementary he simply said; "she could be buried anywhere" as talking about a hamster. Honestly, I don;t even know why we went there. I kept looking at my watch, hopping the time would go faster. Not a good sign. I regret having picked this tour. I feel I wasted our time and our money. The following day, we went to Savannah and took the most wonderful horse carriage tour. What a difference.
