| My friends and I came to Charleston to celebrate our birthdays, and decided to take this tour. We came away very pleased with the experience. Obviously you can't enter the haunted buildings, as is standard with ghost tours (we have taken these tours in Philadelphia, London, and several other cities, and it is the same there), but the stories were very interesting. Our guide was wonderful and incorporated a lot of local history which made everything just that much better as far as our group was concerned; we took the carriage tour as well and found that the tours really played well off of each other, with the historical information in one supplementing what we saw in the other. In total, a very interesting and entertaining way to spend an evening. | ||||||

| our tour guide was Ben, Ben was outstanding, not only did Ben tell great stories, but he also was annimated, which added to the stories. The walking was not bad, and Ben keep everyone in step, and was very careful with everyone due to the heat. This was an outstanding tour and we had a great time. If you are in doubt that you would like this type of tour, please give it a try it's well worth it. Make sure you get the full affect and go at night. | ||||||

| Our Ghost Tour Guide was WONDERFUL , however the tour it self just wasn't that scary. We walked the streets where all the pubs where located and there was just too much traffic to really hear the stories. The tour also said that we would be going through grave yards but we didn't. We stood outside the gates with a flashlight. It was entertaining but not scary all in all. We should have gone off the beaten path or down neighborhood streets so we could feel the impact and hear the stories .... could have been better !! | ||||||

| I forget the name of our tour guide but he was fantastic. I don't recommend the show to be shown to small kids though (perhaps over 12 OK), since some of the stories were too gory. Definitely take out the part at the end inside the auditorium where a seat is signaled (as someone sits on that seat) as the seat where gory murders took place. But definetly our tour guide delivered a very animated full of drama and screams....he was funny and still believable. Thank you! | ||||||

| The tour was interesting, but it was almost the same as the Story of Charleston. The guide didn't stick to just pirates but talked about whatever he thought interesting. I thought there must have been more on pirates that we could have heard instead. | ||||||

| My husband and I were sorely disappointed in the advertisement and end result of this tour. We "thought" going by the brochure that we were going on a guided "ghost" tour not a history tour. We heard the same stories from this guide that we heard on the Tour of Charleston. Therefore, we paid for the same tour twice. We had seen a ghost tour from Chatleston on The Travel Channel and saw more on it than on the tour. We would not reccommend this tour if you want the "feel" of ghosts and mystery. However, if you only want the history of some of the ghosts and legends and wish to walk at night (in the lighted streets) then this is the one for you! We will say our tour guide was extremely knowledegable about his subject matter and more than willing to answer questions, etc. This tour would also be child friendly. | ||||||

| Can I just say how ridiculously juvenile this tour was?! I took my parents on a few tours while they were in town for their first time on Memorial Day weekend. This ghost tour was the one thing that we were looking forward to the most! Well, it was an absolute joke! I could have told better ghost stories than our tour guide told! He didn't really seem to know too much about the details and background of the ghost stories. It was a tour for 3rd graders...if not younger! We were in a group of 10, all of whom were in their mid-20's and older. At the end of the tour we all just stood around and complained about how horrible it was. Hey, at least we all became friends by making fun of the waste of money the tour was! I WOULD NOT RECOMMEND THIS TOUR FOR ANYONE OVER THE AGE OF 10! | ||||||

| I thought the tour was good, although it would have been nice to know that commercial tours aren't allowed in residential areas - which is quite a bit of the historic district - after 5pm. Our guide was very personable and easy to follow, but his voice didn't carry over the city noises very well. | ||||||

| We took this tour our first morning and really enjoyed it. We got a good summary of what made the city and were able to go places that the carriage tours don't. We really wish there was a longer tour because there was more to see. | ||||||

| we had a hard time hearing the person talking.The history was interesting but they could have done a better job telling the stories.It also would have been fun if we could have gone in some of the places where the stories took place.It was not worth the money. | ||||||
