Intellectually stimulating and thrilling

| Our guide was very knowledgeable about the town, about the historic context of the city, and about the ghost stories surrounding the tour. He was very intellectual and humorous, which I found most entertaining. The tour takes you through the historic downtown Charleston and gives you the thrilling ghost stories promised, but also offers wit and enthusiasm for what they are doing. Our tour was 9:30 at night, and we had a fantastic time walking the streets, hearing the horrific tales, and seeing the proof that we needed to believe that ghosts do walk the streets of Charleston. I highly recommend this ghost tour for those who are not faint of heart and who like to mix the factual with a little mystery. | ||||||

| This was really a great ghost tour, and we have done them in numerous cities! We liked the factual/historical information instead of the silly actors that some ghost tours include. Our tour guide was VERY knowledgable about the history of Charleston and the background for the ghost stories. We definitely would recommend this tour...and the book, too! | ||||||

| This was my first ghost tour and I definitely enjoyed it! If you're looking for something scary, this probably isn't the tour for you, but it was fun to hear about the history of Charleston and some of the famous ghost stories. Our tour guide was very informative and enthusiastic. Our group was small, which was nice, so we could always hear what our guide was saying. I would recommend this tour for anyone thinking about doing a ghost tour! | ||||||

| Our tour guide was absolutely wonderful. He provided so much detail about each story and was very enthusiastic. It is obvious that this gentleman loves his job and he knows his stuff. His illustrations of each story at each stop made the tour very interesting and exciting. I would definitely do this again. The trip lasted an hour and a half and there was no dead time whatsoever. We were all very into the whole tour and hated to see it end! Very educational, very exciting! | ||||||

| I think it was a little pricey for the length of the tour. However, considering the evening was so rainy and windy the guide, Ian, did the best he could under the circumstances. He make sure were were under cover for the most part when he gave his enthusiastic reports and information. We even were encourage to purchase the book that he carried that next day. | ||||||

| The Ghost Tour of Charleston was certainly that of an educational adventure. We learned, not only of the local ghosts of Charleston, but also many historical facts that supported their possible existence. Our tour guide was especially knowledgeable on the subject. He was also very personable. I recommend this tour to anyone with common interests. | ||||||

| I was really excited about the tour, especially since it's based on the book, The Ghosts of Charleston. However, I felt more like I was at an architectural lecture than on a ghost walk. I heard maybe three ghost stories over 2 hours. I really think that if there was less chatter about doors and windows and more ghost stories i would have enjoyed it more. | ||||||

| We came hoping to possible see or even hear something that would make your blood freeze up. We were disappointed in that aspect, because nothing happened, that we know of. The information from our guide was very good, although rather on the dramatic side. He was much better when he was just talking and being himself rather than the exaggerated tour guide. We (I) should have dug a little deeper, and chose the tour for the jail and cemeteries ...... the really scary places we thought we were going to see. We only got to see the exterior of these places. We wanted to go inside, not just look in. Our next trip to Charleston will definitely include that particular tour, maybe some others, now that we know what to expect. We still had a good time. Weather was perfect, time was perfect. Would recommend it for the 1st time ghost tour. Thanks! | ||||||

| I was looking forward to the ghost tour in Charleston, but it was not exactly as I anticipated. The guide was not the most talented storyteller, he was hard to follow, and most of the stories did not take place where we were on the "tour". I expected to at least walk up to the front of houses or buildings where these stories supposedly take place. Instead it was more like "Now a few blocks from here there is a story about..." Also the tour did not begin on time because some people had trouble finding a parking space. | ||||||

| The tour was absolutely excruciating. While the guide had obvious enthusiasm about the subject, he was unable to clearly communicate with the group. The parts that were understandable were just plain boring. By the time he covered anything interesting, he had already lost the interest of the group. The tour was a complete waste of money and more importantly time. | ||||||
