Fun and Informative

Our guide was pleasant and affable. We saw some parts of Charleston we may otherwise have not seen. Perhaps the only awkward moments were when other tours showed up in the same spot which is likely hard to avoid in Charleston. Overall, we were very satisfied and had lots of fun.

It was a great tour. I learned lots of interesting things about Charleston that I otherwise would not have known. The guide was a very engaging speaker, and was very knowledgeable in Charleston's history. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone seeking a fun walk through 300 year old cemetary's, graveyards, haunted houses, and old churches. Great time!

The Ghost tour was very informative from a historical perspective along with entertaining. Our guide Ian was very knowledgeable and keep the group involved and interested. I would recommend this tour to anyone visiting Charleston and would especially make note of seeing if Ian was available as a guide

This was a fun way to learn some of the history of the area and see some sights you wouldn't during the day on your own. the cemetary is worth it!

Ghost tour

I did not like the tour guide, who spent more time telling random facts rather than ghost stories. On our 80 minute tour, only 3 ghost stories were told, and we were taken on random routes throughout the city. I have been on several ghost tours in various cities throughout the US, and this was by far the worst ghost story. Normally after a tour, I feel that I have learned a lot of history about the city. After this tour, I did not get this feeling. Our tour guide spent the last 30-40 minutes telling us his own personal story, and it was so strange and not at all in keeping with the description of the tour. I was very unsatisfied by this tour, and would recommend any other Charleston ghost tour over this comapny's.

Hard to understand

We really were looking forward to this tour. I practically grew up in Charleston and wanted to share some chills with my teenage daughter and her friend on our visit. Ian, the tour guide, spoke so quickly and with so many asides and personal opinions, we barely understood anything he said. I played translator for the gilrs since I was familiar with many of the local legends. The best part of the tour was the cemetary at the end.....really creepy....too bad we couldn't understand the story being told about the ghost seen there. Very disappointed. We tried for another tour company ghost tour the next night but never found any openings.

Tour was ok.

For my taste the tour included too few sights. Be aware that most of your time will be taken up walking to the sights. When our tour was over our guide left myself and the 3 other women in the group about 4 blocks from our starting point and told us he would be fined if he talked to us any further. This was after he made it clear he accepted tips. Just not what I was expecting.

The tour was both entertaining and informative. Our guide, Ian, was extremely knowledgeable and provided a humorous, and at times spooky commentary that kept his audience interested the entire time. Historic downtown Charleston architecture and landscapes are an excellent backdrop for the ghostly stories recounted by the tour guide.

Could be better

It was a fun trip, but instead of saying all of this happened "in there", it would be nice if we could actually go into those places. Otherwise, it was a good experience.

Our guide was a very enthusiastic story teller. We've been on ghost tours in many cities and this was the best.

A Bit Disappointing
Fri, Mar 12, 10   5:00 PM Jacobsmom98 Female 30-39 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
I felt that the Ghost Tour was too focused on a theatrical performance than on actually teaching us about the history of Charleston and its ghosts. During the 90 minute tour we were only told about 4 differerent "ghosts stories" in WAY too much detail. I would have much preferred to have heard these ghost stories (in a much shortened version) and then ALSO have been given some information on the history of Charleston. More of an explanation as to the buildings we were walking past, etc.. There was a History of Charleston Tour that i would have preferred to take, but it was not offered during the time we were visiting. The tour guide was very nice, but just too "over- the- top" for my taste.

Fantastic Ghost Tour

Our guide was the most enthusiastic and knowledgeable guide for a ghost tour that our family has ever experienced. We have been on ghost tours in the UK (London and York), Edinburgh, Paris, Washington, DC, New York, and Annapolis. Never before had we hung on every word of the guide who was in perfect character for the entire tour. Additionally, there was so much other Charleston history that was skillfully woven into the ghost tales that it was educational as well. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Charleston, SC.
