The tour guide did a nice job and I enjoyed the stories, but we were not allowed to go in and see where they took place. We could only stand outside of the building or the graveyards. It cost my family $82.00 for this tour. It took a little over an hour. It was too expensive for what we were able to do. I felt so strongly about this, I contacted the tour company. Instead of understanding about the expense, they chose to interpret my email as I was complaining about our tour guide and stated that if another complaint was made, he would be suspended! I could not believe it!!! Nowhere did I complain about the tour guide. It wasn't his fault we weren't able to go inside the buildings, or the price of the tour. When I emailed back to defend our tour guide, I was never even given the courtesy of a response. I will never choose this tour company again. In my opinion, you should choose the company that will allow access to the buildings. Even so, it is still expensive. It was $72 for my family to tour Ft. Sumter, we were there 3 hours total, and we got a ferry ride! It was a much more economical. I was very disappointed in our experience, as well as the tour company's customer service, especially, as we had been looking so forward to it, and excited about taking a "ghost tour". |

The information provided on the tour was good. I expected more stories. Easy walk and tour guide was informative but not a storyteller. It was a small group. There were 6 of us in this group. |

Enjoyed the walk around town and saw some very neat areas that we would have never found on our own and the stories were entertaining. Professionaly presented and felt perfectly safe the whole time. |

Well this ghost tour was ok, but nothing more. Charleston is obviously an incredibly historic place, and I'm sure possibly frequented by many ghosts, but it took a lot of imagination on this busy, busy night to feel any sense of impending doom. With helicopters buzzing overhead, college kids streaming past in stretch hummers, and bumping into multiple other 'ghost' groups on our walking route, it felt like a 'colour by numbers' ghost tour with all of the stories being read out of a book. I wanted to feel some real darkness, but that never came. I can't blame the guide, he was competent enough and did the job he had to do. It all comes down to the environment too, Charleston was just too busy on this fine evening. Try Edinburgh, or London, or Port Arthur, the penal colony in Australia, where shivers will literally run down your spine. I was expecting more, but that's ok. |

The tour was wonderful. It started on time and the tour guide was very enthusiastic. He told great stories that weren't too frightening but very intriguing. The tour goes around the city and you talk about quite a few "famous" places. I would recommend this to families with small children and people looking for some good tales. If you're looking to be scared silly, this is not for you. |

Kyle, our Guide, was a wonderful conductor into the spookiness of Charleston's history. The whole tour time literally flew by as we moved through the streets, alleys, and graveyards. You will be delightfully spooked by tales; and Kyle's reserve of Charleston's history will bring a whole new prospective on the neighborhood that looks so serene in the daylight. The hair on the back of my neck was standing and tingling from the mid-point of the opening story about Room No 8 at a local Inn to the ending tale of the spinster in the top-floor window of the final stop across the street From the Mill House Inn. Take the plunge, you will be delighted with the tour! |

We got started right on time. It was advertized to last 1:20 and it did. The guide likes what he does and this made the tour fun. |

We have such a wonderful time on this tour. The group happened to be small, but I think we still would have enjoyed it if it was larger. The guide was knowledgeable, funny and engaging. We will absolutely do this again! |

First, let me say that the tour people were very nice, and when I made a mistake with the dates of the tour, they allowed me to change them. That said, the ghost tour is simply not worth it.
We have been on other ghost tours, in New Orleans and Key West. Those tours were excellent. This was boring, and a waste of time.
The guide could not make any story seem exciting, or interesting. He completely failed at making us feel any connection with any of the people. Some of the stories were told in settings that were fully unrelated to the tale, simply to fill in the time in between stops.
He kept on peppering his stories with recent tales from other countries, like Russia, and he told us his personal story about his father in law passing away, further taking us from the Ghost of Charleston setting.
He wasted every chance to make the story exciting., The stop at the Unitarian church , where the body of the first female mass murdered is supposed to be buried, should have been the highlight of the tour. Instead, the tale was told somewhere else, and when we got to the cementary he simply said; "she could be buried anywhere" as talking about a hamster. Honestly, I don;t even know why we went there.
I kept looking at my watch, hopping the time would go faster. Not a good sign.
I regret having picked this tour. I feel I wasted our time and our money.
The following day, we went to Savannah and took the most wonderful horse carriage tour. What a difference. |

We were in Charleston on New Year's Day and were excited to see that you had ghost tours available. Our guide was awesome! He was such a good storyteller and very friendly. I would definitely recommend to anyone headed to Charleston! |
