LOVED the tour, the guide, and the food...HOWEVER...after the website mentioned POPOVERS 3 times with photos of POPOVERS, I was disappointed when we did NOT go the The Maryland Inn and get the POPOVERS that were on the website. Everything was wonderful, but knowing about the POPOVERS gave me the feeling that something was left out.
Marc Lucas of Piccolo Roma was the best host to the group,,,charming! |

We thoroughly enjoyed this tour, we're still talking about it and telling our friends to check it out. The tour guide(we forgot her name.) Was WONDERFUL. Very knowledgable and the food was good. We went to 5 different restaurants. |

Our guide, Julia, a native, was informative and friendly. Loved Annapolis history and great food. While we love seafood, oyster shooters were a disappointment, compared to more elegant fare from other highlighted restaurants. You should offer food to guide, we felt guilty eating without her. |

Having Jillian as a tour guide made this a great experience. Her knowledge of Annapolis and of the food is tremendous. She interacted very easily with the owners and operators at each establishment as well as being very considerate to the needs of her group. Really worth doing many times. |

This tour was a well balanced introduction to Annapolis history flavored with a delightful mix of cuisine available there. I LOVED the anecdote of "gossip".. the context of Annapolis' emergence and decline as a port.. and the Middleton tavern story.. and the "communal bakery" prohibiting ovens in homes... that's just a smattering!
The cuisine... Piccolla Roma.. and Mark's description of the food and tour of available accomodations... what a way to tour the boat show! All of the restaurants were welcoming and a special "local flavor": was the "Smith Island Cake" at the Red Red Wine Bar... along with it's story of course.
Our tour guide was well informed, set a pace for a varied group in terms of speed in walking and information and responded to questions in a delightfully informed and professional manner.
I will "do the tour" again!

The guide was well-informed of the applicable local history, well-spoken and clearly enthusiastic. We were well-received at each of the restaurants. the food was uniformly excellent and the staff spent a good deal of time discussing the restaurant and the food dishes served. My wife and I are going back to one of the restaurants for our 36th anniversary. |

Our guide, Carolyn, was excellent and very knowledgeable. The food we had was very good - lots of mushrooms and we had several who weren't fans of mushrooms. A lot of history. We had a beautiful day and a good time- even got a surprise at end! The people who hadn't been on food tours before loved it!!!! |

My husband and I were visiting Annapoils for the weekend to celebrate our Anniversary. We took this tour not really knowing what to expect. Our tourguide was Stephanie and she was wonderful. Very informative about Annapolis and about food becasue she is a Chef. We felt the tour was a great mix of History, food and fun. We revisited 2 of the restaurants that we ate in. One for dinner in the evening and one for brunch on Sunday morning.
My advice to anyone taking this tour is not to eat anything for several hours before..and not to have immediate dinner plans after because you will be happily stuffed by the end of the tour. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Annapolis. |
