This was such a phenomenal way to spend an afternoon in the historic city of Annapolis. Our guide, Susan Denis was extremely versed in local historical interesting facts and added humor to her dialogue. We went to multiple and varied sites that she presented such unique facts on, that it was very surprising to me as I have been a local resident most of my life and taught school in this county for a quarter of a century ! At each stop we enjoyed some type of colonial snack or beverage-each more appetizing than the previous. The other tour participants were British and Scottish, and were most impressed with Susan's factual knowledge & enjoyable humorous comments. After each libation, she treated us to a colonial toast and the reason for it's use in historic Annapolis. The pace was leisurely and enjoyable on a lovely spring afternoon in our original capital city. Three cheers for Susan Denis and her portrayal, in her lovely colonial attire, of an 18th century lady. Her use of tiny speaker ear pieces was a great help while being in the city on a busy Sunday afternoon. I have recommended this to many people since taking it, and would gladly delight in taking it again !

Tour guides with a good sense of humor towards questions. Fun and fulfilling in that one is never without food or drink throughout the tour. If you like cool architecture and stories about the past and present, this is the right tour. They even gave us individual headsets so that they don't have to shout, we can listen to them at the volume we wish to hear them at, and there are so many cool things along the way one can lag behind for pictures and the like without missing the tour.

Enjoyed the tour of Annapolis. Our tour guide was dressed and talked as if she walked out of a 18th Century home in the town. She made the trip very informative and did cute little things that made for a great tour. The food was fun too. Most I had had before but the pop-overs were to die for. I learned many exciting facts about the city I love. Thanks so much for a fun day!

| The idea of incorporating food stops into a city tour brought a fresh and unique twist. I found the colonial guide to be entertaining along with great anecdotal tales. At the conclusion of the tour I was well fed and "full up". The pop overs near the end of the tour were outstanding! One should not miss this tour.

I have done Annapolis by boat, and on land for a history walk, but I went on this tour for the food, and was pleasantly suprised at the wealth of local historic knowledge that the guide filled us in on as we strolled leisurly through the historic district of Annapolis. Bolstered by wonderful earphones for each person on the tour, we wandered from taverns to ice cream makers through wine cellars to historic homes and kitchens and more. There were plenty of samplings to consider it lunch. Now I feel well equiped to go out on my own and find a great restaurant for dinner. This is the first year this tour has been offered, and I would say that Capital City Colonials has a real hit!

The coordination of this tour is crucial to it's success, and Capital City Colonials has obviously put a lot of planning on the timing and overall value. The food stops were great, the guide was very knowledgeable, and the individual microphones for ease in hearing made the day complete.
