The guide was very knowlegable and versed in the history, architecture and customes of the colonial and pre colonial times. He was pointed out the different types of architecture and showed the differences. He also was attune to the current Annapolis resoration efforts. The tour was well worth the walk, and we came away with a recommendation for a nice place to eat

We loved the tour! Our tour guide knew the area very well and was just filled with many interesting and entertaining facts about Annapolis. We really enjoyed his enthusiasm and just had a wonderful time. We will definitely take family and friends on the tour when we go back to Annapolis.

My family had a nice visit to Annapolis, and we enjoyed the historic district very much. There were history teachers in the bunch, so the information on daily life in the 18th century was most interesting. Sadly, we were unable to visit the Maryland state capital due to construction.

I've lived here for 12 years and had no idea!

This was an absolutely enjoyable tour. I've walked past these homes hundreds of times, and had little idea of their occupants' roles in the shaping of Annapolis and our country. Our guide was a wealth of information and a great story teller.

The tour guide we had was clearly passionate about the history of Annapolis and we learned SO much! It was a great way to see the city! We recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a bit about Annapolis and see it in a different, interesting light. THANKS!

Fun and informative way to spend an afternoon!

My husband and I booked the tour, expecting it to be with a group. As it turned out, we were the only ones who there, so we ended up getting a private, Annapolis History 101 tour. Our tour guide Carolyn was great! She was extremely enthusiastic and knowledgeable and we had a really fun time, as she stayed in character for the majority of the tour. The walk itself was easy, given that we stopped in front of sites for a while as well. It's a relatively inexpensive and fun way to spend a few hours, whether as a couple, with a family, or even with a larger group.

Overall the tour was a nice way to spend a couple of hours on Sunday. The anecdotes were funny and informative, though the history aspect seemed on the ligh side. The guide's enthusiasm was generally good. I did note that at a few limited moments he was telling us information as if from a script; and os at those moments it seemed canned. This occurred, however, very infrequently. The portion of the tour that involved the college St. John's, the State House and the church were the best.
