The Food and History tour in Annapolis is informative, fun and delicious! From our initial warm greeting to full-bellied farewells, Susan led us through historic sites (with culinary delights) professionally, yet in a manner that made her seem an immediate friend. We enjoyed humor, toasts, and an "off the beaten path" sense that made this tour exceptional. Come hungry in comfortable walking shoes! |

My husband and I took this food tour last year when we visited Annapolis. We enjoyed it so much, we decided to try it again this summer. We were not disappointed. New places to sample culinary delights were added to change things up. Susan, our guide, is so knowledgeable and just as awesome this time around as she was last year. She fits everyone with an earpiece and individual receiver at the beginning of the tour, so you can hear everything she talks about as the group moves along. We didn't miss a thing.
Highlights of the food samples were the tomato gazpacho soup, crab cakes, the ice cream and the popovers. The B&B house was unbelievable. We really enjoyed touring the city and learning about the history of the area. We will surely go back again. |

Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and he enjoyed sharing the history of his city with us. For the most part, the food fit the experience and everything served at each of the places we visited had some historical relevance. For us, it was a very pleasant introduction to Annapolis. |

David was our guide and he was so much fun to walk around and listen to him! Unfortunately we had to break off before the tour ended - it went longer than we expected (which, under normal circumstances is great, because often I think tours don't go long enough) and we had early dinner reservations. My husband and I are defininitely going to do the tour again so we can get the whole thing in, and probably some more too. We live close by, so it's easy to get to. |

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and had some interesting stories to tell about the historic buildings in Annapolis. I liked the fact that the tour included entry into some of the buildings. There was not too much walking to do so it was not too tiring. I learnt a lot through doing the tour and would recommend it to others. |

This past Sunday I was taken back in time to the Colonial Era on the Annapolis History and Food Walking Tour. Guided by a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable re-enactor. His passion for history of this particular period of this beautiful city was contagious and was well matched by the food that was offered by the different establishments. A historic stroll through this quaint city while eating some of the best offerings of the Bay compliment each other well. |

The guide was very knowlegable and versed in the history, architecture and customes of the colonial and pre colonial times. He was pointed out the different types of architecture and showed the differences. He also was attune to the current Annapolis resoration efforts. The tour was well worth the walk, and we came away with a recommendation for a nice place to eat |

Tour guides with a good sense of humor towards questions. Fun and fulfilling in that one is never without food or drink throughout the tour. If you like cool architecture and stories about the past and present, this is the right tour. They even gave us individual headsets so that they don't have to shout, we can listen to them at the volume we wish to hear them at, and there are so many cool things along the way one can lag behind for pictures and the like without missing the tour. |

Overall, this was a good tour with nice food. I was full by the end of the tour and didn't need dinner when I got home. I thought parts of the tour were a strange mix of pretend reenactment and modern day tour. Sometimes the tour guide would make comments as if she were a time traveller in modern day Annapolis, but she wasn't wearing a costume. I think it made things confusing/awkward feeling. I think I would have preferred either a full reenactor or just a tour guide. I think the tour consisted of too many proverbs and toasts, by the third hour it got a little annoying. |
