There were only 5 people on our tour (3 who were part of my group) so we had a lot of personalized attention and information provided. Gary, our guide, was wonderful, providing us information on the city from its roots through colonial times and beyond. He showed us things that we had simply not noticed on our own, and the glimpses into some of the paying attractions helped us decide which to pay additional for. My 12-year old daughter enjoyed the tour as much as the adults and we would definitely take another tour with Capitol City Colonials in the future. |

We very much enjoyed the Historic Walking Tour of Annapolis! The starting location was easy to find, the amount of time involved and the distance covered was just right. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and enjoyable! If we are ever back to Annapolis, we wouldn't hesitate to go on this tour again!!! |

Carolyn was very enteraining, attentive, and knowledgable. Did not feel rush, and no questions went unanswered. Very fun loving lady. She gave really great suggestion for the rest of the day, and some other points of interest. Have not been in Annapolis since 1991 and she made the day fun. It was really nice to have a small group rather than a large one. Will definetly suggest using you in the future to all my freinds |

Lots of interesting and historical places to see. The food was good and the restaurants were very hospitable. Even the rain we had that day put No damper on the fun we all had.
Great tour!!!!!!!!!!! |

The information on the tour was fun. The guide was very informative about the historical significance of almost every house we saw on the tour. The disappointing part was the food. You get maybe half a bite of food at each stop. It's not enough to even experience the place you stopped at. And I had to buy lunch afterward because I was still hungry. This tour would be better if it was more like $20 a person. It definitely is not worth the money. |

Gary was a delightful tour guide! He went out of his way to make the tour interesting and informative. What a plus that it wound up just being my husband and myself - it felt like Gary was our private tour guide. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone. |

My wife and I toured Annapolis with Capital City Colonials and really enjoyed ourselves. Our guide - Squire Howard - was very friendly and provided a lot of interesting insight into colonial life in Annapolis. I would recommend this tour to anyone with an interest in colonial history. |

We had a great time on the walking tour through the historic district. Our guide was very knowledgeable and friendly. His excitment for the history of Annapolis was obvious and was contagious to our group! I have lived in the area 15 years and had never experienced downtown Annapolis in such a fun and educational way. I absolutely recommend this tour to anyone! |

What a great time we had! I was hosting my mother and father from AZ where we are all from. I live in Carroll County Maryland since January of 2008 and have visited Annapolis several times with my husband who is from here. I would never have been able to share Annapolis with my family quite the same way. Also took an infant in a stroller and the guide was very accomodating and helpful! 5 Stars!! I'll definitely return with more visitors! |

The tour is valuable for flavor and background information. Includes facts that you wouldn't easily find published. I would have apprecitated more building interiors in addition to gardens. The State House was closed. Maybe I should return! I most wanted to go inside it and the Naval Chapel which is not included. |

i have been on several food tours in NYC and have a formed a baseline for my expectations for the Annapolis food tour. and i can honestly say, the food was subpar.
first off, my gf and i where the only two people on the tour. so it was a more one on one experience with the tour guide. Our guide, "squire" james was very friendly and helpful. he was definitely a very knowledgeable in the area and was very fun to hang out with. my gf and i had a blast joking around and taking about each others personal lives. the various tour stops along the way were nice mix of both historic locations and more modern tourist spots.
food wise..i thought it was sub par. first we had some ice coffee and some book store/cafe. nothing special. then some fried crab balls at some tavern. (ehh..it was so so). then some gelato (bleh...i was getting sick from all the weird food in my belly). the some crab dip at philips (food was so so...bread was kinda stale...they gave us nice souvenir glasses). had some fried coconut shrimp (nothing special). had some more ice cream (was getting sick from all the weird food combos)
my 2 cents...dont go expecting a great meal from it...we ended up getting beers and burgers afterwords which was 100x better then everything we ate before this. the historic tour of the city was worth it...so feeding us along the way was a decent bonus. |
