Nice Tour Guide and A Wonderful Walk Around Town

Our tour guide was wonderful: knowledgeable, intelligent, and interesting. He showed a grand knowledge of history and Annapolis and pointed out details in building construction that would have been missed. The tour was the highlight of our visit.

Depends on the guide

We went on the 10:30am tour on 07/30. The scenary and weather was beautiful. We were very dissappointed in the knowledge and storytelling of our guide. She was very unsure and stalled often (she was also very quiet). We realized she was new and still in training because there was a trainer who accompanied her and prompted her at some points. However, she needed much more guidance and training before being put in front of the public. We could tell the other guide was very knowledgable and entertaining and we would have thoroughly enjoyed our tour with him. We were only in Annapolis for the morning for that specific tour while passing through Maryland, so it was a let down.

Wonderful Tour

The tour was excellent. My husband and I were hosting his parents and brother who are not from Maryland. We wanted them to do something other than the tratitional day trop to DC and learn a about local history in MD. Annapolis is beautiful and the tour helped give a great introduction to the city.

Great Tour

This is a terrific tour -- not too long, not too short. Especially good for people who are just spending the day in Annapolis and want to explore on their own as well. We had an excellent, personable guide named Elise. She was very knowledgeable regarding the historical facts but kept the mood light and fun -- not dry and boring.

We enjoyed our walk around historic Annapolis. Our tour guide, Kelsey Swensen was interesting and informative. It was well worth the time and the cost.

This tour was a lot of fun. Lots of interesting details/history about Annapolis are provided by a guide who really knows her stuff. She makes the experience enjoyable for all - and you get great food to sample along the way to boot.

The guide was great and had an impressive depth of knowledge - for every question we asked, he had a detailed answer. Also he had a great sense of humor and kept us in stitches! Would recommend this to anyone.

I have lived in Annapolis for 7 years and never done the tour. My friend was visiting from FL so we signed up. I have not stopped talking about the historical content and its delivery. It was fascinating. Thank you so much. It will not be the last tour I take, in fact as soon as I can arrange it, my husband will be your next customer.(along with me)! Great tour, delivered in a wonderfully , interesting way.

Though currently living in Washington state, I have lived in Annapolis in the past but had never before taken the tour. As a historian and genealogist, I didn't expect to learn any thing new but went along with a friend who was visiting Annapolis for the first time. Marcos gave an excellent tour and I learned many things. As my daughter is now living in Annapolis, I will be visiting in the future and will contact your organization about visiting the Sand house. Thank you.

Great way to start weekend in Annapolis

My husband and I went to Annapolis for a short, weekend trip to celebrate our anniversary, and we started our trip off with the Saturday morning Annapolis Food & History Tour. We had read great reviews of the tour, and we agree with all the good comments we read. We got a good mix of Annapolis history and tasty bites along the way. The tour moved quickly, and we heard just enough info about each area we visited. We felt like through the tour we got a good feel of Annapolis and it's eats. The food was tasty, and I'm super picky. It was a combination of historic or local-flavored food as well as yummy eats that are common elsewhere like Italian gelato. Susan, who we assume is the owner, was our tour guide, and she made the day quite fun. We did end up visiting at least one of the places we went to on the tour the next day, so it was great to be exposed to it. My husband and I are 30, and the rest of the group was a mix of ages, individuals, and couples. A great tour for any adult!

We had a great tour guide who nicely described life in Annapolis in the old times. Due to the holiday, we were not able to see some of the sites.

Great tour of Historic Annapolis
Sat, May 16, 09   2:30 PM tschey Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Family With Children
Squire Henry was our guide. He was friendly and very knowledgeable on Annapolis and the history of the city. The walking tour was at a nice pace and we were able to ask any questions along the tour. Learned a lot about the types of buildings and what it means to be a park of the historic district of Annapolis. He also talked about the origins of many sayings like "saved by the bell" or "putting you best foot forward" which were quite funny.. Definitely would recommend.

The food tour was a great way to see Annapolis. We got just enough info about each location - not exessive details, just the right amount of time to enjoy each stop. The food was diverse and was a great way to break up the walking. We enjoyed having the ear pieces so that we didn't have to constantly surround our guide. It gave everybody a little room to spread out. Very entertaining - lots of fun!

We had so much fun. The guide was wonderful, the food was great, and the weather was perfect for a nice stroll around Annapolis seeing all of the historical gems. I would recommend skipping breakfast before this tour.
