great introduction to Annapolis

Our guide, mistress Susan, was informative and enthusiastic. It was evident that she had a love of history and the city. The lightweight ear phone that was provided was much appreciated---one could wander away to get a closer look at something or take advantage of a restroom and not miss any narration. The food tastes were more than enough to fill you for lunch and several hours later. We truly felt we had insider information and this tour made us want to return to Annapolis!

Enjoyable Sunday

Overall the tour was a nice way to spend a couple of hours on Sunday. The anecdotes were funny and informative, though the history aspect seemed on the ligh side. The guide's enthusiasm was generally good. I did note that at a few limited moments he was telling us information as if from a script; and os at those moments it seemed canned. This occurred, however, very infrequently. The portion of the tour that involved the college St. John's, the State House and the church were the best.

The tour guide was very knowledgeable and enthusiastic and had some interesting stories to tell about the historic buildings in Annapolis. I liked the fact that the tour included entry into some of the buildings. There was not too much walking to do so it was not too tiring. I learnt a lot through doing the tour and would recommend it to others.

The tour of historic homes in Annapolis was very enjoyable. Caroline, the tour guide, was very informative. In recent memory I can't think of a more enjoyable day. Thanks for a job well done. I would definitely go on another tour with your company.

Marcos was great

Loved the detail that the tour guide provided. Marcos was very patient with our loud and rambunctious children and was professional throughout the tour. Wish we had more tours of inside the buildings, as we took the tour on Saturday. This was our only activity in Annapolis..we stopped as we were traveling to the beach...and some have commented that it was the best part of the vacation!

as a small group, it was very enjoyable because we had a very closely hands on experience. Our guide was knowledgeable and explained all the designated sites with much detail. The food was good as well.

Our guide was enthusiastic and knowledgeable, and he enjoyed sharing the history of his city with us. For the most part, the food fit the experience and everything served at each of the places we visited had some historical relevance. For us, it was a very pleasant introduction to Annapolis.

I enjoyed my tour immensely. Scout William has a thorough knowledge of the city's history and shared many amusing and educational stories. It was a great choice to introduce me to the city, while my husband was at a conference.

The guide was funny, well-informed, attentive to our interests, friendly with an amazing number of Annapolis locals (who greeted her on the streets), and clever. She wanted us to have fun, enjoy the food, and also learn to appreciate the stories and traditions in Annapolis. It was wonderful!

Great Food and Fun

We really enjoyed our tour. Our guide Marcos made the tour a lot of fun, and the tour did a great job of blending the history of charming Annapolis with delicious food. This tour is much better than other food tours I have experienced. The tour is relatively compact, so we spent most our time in restaurants and sites of interest instead of walking from site to site. The wireless ear phone system provided also made it easy to hear our guide despite entering some crowded sites and allowed us to pay attention to him without needing to crowd around him to hear. We ended the tour right across the street from where we started and with just enough food in our bellies (not too full but not hungry either). Kudos to the tour organizers for providing us a bottle of water which kept us cool and hydrated on the warm day of the tour.

Quaint historic stroll and good food offerings
Sun, Jun 17, 07   1:00 PM JMSALAVERRIA Male 50-59 International Tourist(s) Other
This past Sunday I was taken back in time to the Colonial Era on the Annapolis History and Food Walking Tour. Guided by a very enthusiastic and knowledgeable re-enactor. His passion for history of this particular period of this beautiful city was contagious and was well matched by the food that was offered by the different establishments. A historic stroll through this quaint city while eating some of the best offerings of the Bay compliment each other well.
