Somewhat interesting

I didn't care for the food. It wasn't enough for lunch unless you don't mind eating a lot of ice-cream - we had it twice. A few of the stops were interesting; some were not. We had a beautiful day so it was nice to walk around.

Great time!

This is a really great way to see what Annapolis has to offer and learn a little about it's history. Even our 19 year old son wasn't bored. The quality and quantity of the food was excellent. The headsets worked great for hearing the guide, even with the street traffic noise.

A Beautiful Delicious Day Out!

I met 6 or 7 friends for the tour and we all agreed that it was delightful! We learned so much about the colonial days in Annapolis while enjoying some excellent samples of a variety of dishes. The food was perfectly ample - almost too much! Since my distant cousin lives in and gives tours of Sands House, and many of my ancestors had ties to Annapolis, there was an extra personal charm for me.

Kick start your knowledge of Annapolis with tour!

Great way to get to know a bit about downtown Annapolis. Get a taste of the history, the dress, and the way of life of the old ways. Get some sample foods from the local establishments, ice cream, and get to know your way around enough to find your way back to your faves once you're done. Super idea for folks that don't know downtown. Once you are done - it's more than a short walk - go back to some shopping and more food on your own. I wasn't full, but not hungry either. We had 2 guides for our group of 12, one brought up the rear. Used ear pieces so all could hear. Liked that. Fun, friendly, and enthusiastic Susan and James know their stuff. Would not recommend to those unsteady on their feet, as you walk the brick walks of town and down steep stairs. Recommend!

My family had a nice visit to Annapolis, and we enjoyed the historic district very much. There were history teachers in the bunch, so the information on daily life in the 18th century was most interesting. Sadly, we were unable to visit the Maryland state capital due to construction.

The walking tour was very interesting and the guide (Marcos) was very enthusiasic and well informed. I would strongly recommend this tour to anyone who wants to learn about the city history, see the local sites, and enjoy the food tasting of some of the local restaurants.

This was an absolutely enjoyable tour. I've walked past these homes hundreds of times, and had little idea of their occupants' roles in the shaping of Annapolis and our country. Our guide was a wealth of information and a great story teller.

The tour guide we had was clearly passionate about the history of Annapolis and we learned SO much! It was a great way to see the city! We recommend it to anyone who wants to learn a bit about Annapolis and see it in a different, interesting light. THANKS!

Great date--and we learned something, too!

My fiance and I celebrated our 2-year anniversary in Annapolis. I was looking for something unique for us to do. We took the Walking and Food Tour and had our own personal docent. What a lovely tour it was and the food was very tasty. Our guide was personable, entertaining, and very knowledgable. It was a perfect day for a tour and very much worth the price! The only thing that would have made it more perfect would be to add is a pint of grog at the end!

A Plus adventure in Annapolis!

Spent a wonderful day touring Annapolis with a knowledgeable, fun and amiable guide, Donna. The three hour walking and eating tour was excellent, espcecially with the guide miked and each participant having a receiver. There is more than ample food included; with the crab balls and popovers being the standouts. The three hours initially seemed like it would be too long, but the pace with which the tour occurred kept things moving along nicely. Enjoyed the experience.

Fantastic way to learn about early Annapolis
Fri, Sep 28, 07   11:00 AM dgavin Female 50-59 Domestic Tourist(s) Group of Friends
I was on the Food and History tour with a reunion group of dietitians. We have traveled all over the U.S. on reunions and we really enjoyed this tour. Our tour guide, Donna, was very knowledgeable of the subject matter and made it fun. When our group decided to have a toast of beer (not on the tour) at the Irish pub, she was able to come up with some appropriate toasts based on the time period of early Annapolis. The variety of food sampled was very good and no one was left hungry. I would highly recommend this tour for anyone who is interested in learning about historical Annapolis, the Naval Academy and being treated to foods indigenous to the time period.

The food, history & tour guide were all terrific. The only suggestion I can make is more food/drink tastings.

Having never gone to Annapolis before, my friend and I decided to tour the old district of Annapolis. We chose the Food and Historical Walk Tour. It was delightful! Our guide, Marcos, was extremely knowledgeable, as well as, entertaining. The food that was served along our tour was delicious. At the end of our tour we were completely satisfied. On our return trip home to Connecticut we had fond memories of our tour in Annapolis. I would recommend this tour to anyone who enjoys history and eating. What a combination! Bravo!
