My guide was so funny and well informed. What cracked me up more than the costume was how enthusiastic random people on the street were, waving and greeting him.

Exceeded expectations, excellent value

Highly recommend to others. The quality of the tour was largely due to our guide, who was top-notch and courteous, not a dull moment on the entire tour. My wife and myself (form PA) were joined by another couple (from GA) and our guide (5 total in group). Did not feel rushed at any time on the tour. Immediately impressed with warm reception by guide at meeting place, the audio receiver and earpiece provided (necessity when walking thru town), courtesy bottled water and coffee. Tour office surervisor checked two times to make sure everyone was satisfied. Each destination was ready for our arrival and all involved were very friendly and open to questions. Food / drink samples at various eating establishments were great. We returned to Irish restaurant across from State House for lunch following day. Will return to restaurant at Maryland Inn again in future for popovers. Two suggestions for improvement: 1) Provide larger bag at beginning of tour to hold bottled water and misc. trinkets provided by restuarants along the tour; and, 2) add color coded depiction of historic landmark plaques on map handout with key / legend to show time period. In the words of our guide, Marco, all of the above Tis True, Tis True!

The food tour was excellent. I plan to return and take another tour from Capital City Colonials. This tour went well beyond my expectations. Outstanding.

What an outstanding guide on this tour!

Marcos provided my wife and I with an amazing tour of eating establishments and individual homes with a great amount of information on each stop. I must say, the tastes of different foods at each stop provided us with enough nourishment to keep us satisfied until we returned home some hours later. I didn't realize how much ground we covered till we returned to the place where we started and the tour guide gave us his summary of the tour. The tour was so interesting that the time passed quickly. I will recommend this tour to all my friends who are going to Annapolis for a visit and also to some friends who live in the area.

Great experience for young and old.

We came as a family of six and were joined by five others, we ranged in age from 8 to 73 years. I can only speak for our family. It was two and one half hours well spent. Carolyn, our guide was knowlegable, cohsiderate, fun and tailored her presentation to those presemt. One member of our group had forgotten his ID and Carolyn's assistant (I forget his name) thoughtfully volunteered to visit with him while the rest of us toured the State House - a nice touch. I would do another tour in a heartbeat, in fact we plan to return for a ghost tour in the future but only if Carolyn is our guide (in my close to seventy years of travel she is pobably the best guide I have ever encountered).

Very informative

This history tour of Annapolis was very informative. I especially appreciated that the guide did not attempt to skimp on details, or shorten my trip once he realized that I would be the only participant in his tour. I think most guides would have been tempted to cut it short, and I appreciate that he conducted my tour as professionally as if there were a party of 10 not one! Additionally, the guide was obviously quite proud of the city and its remarkable history, this makes it doubly entertaining for those new to the city.

My wife and I live about an hour from Annapolis in Montgomery County, Maryland. We have lived here over 16 years and have visited Annapolis often. Suprisingly over 2/3's of the places visited, we had never been to. Some, we will go back to on future trips. The tour was excellent. We went out on a sailing schooner afterwards but had enough food during the walking tour that we decided not to have dinner before we came home.

We enjoyed our walk around historic Annapolis. Our tour guide, Kelsey Swensen was interesting and informative. It was well worth the time and the cost.

Squire Marcos was our guide and he was outstanding! Our friend who is a bit of a history buff was really impressed with his knowledge and presentation. It was lots of fun as well as being very informative.

Entertaining, easy walk

The tour is valuable for flavor and background information. Includes facts that you wouldn't easily find published. I would have apprecitated more building interiors in addition to gardens. The State House was closed. Maybe I should return! I most wanted to go inside it and the Naval Chapel which is not included.

The food, history & tour guide were all terrific. The only suggestion I can make is more food/drink tastings.
