My Wife and I took the 3:30 afternoon tour. Our guides (Aaron & Noah) were really nice and patient guiding us through the "gettiing to know your Segway" portion of the tour. My Wife was a little apprehensive at first although I assured her with her athleticism she would be gliding in no time, and she was! One precautionary word, if you can't pat your foot in time to music or feel you have no coordination the bus tour might be the better choice. To fully enjoy the experience, and reduce stress instead of stressing out on vacation you need to be alert, aware and ready to go when asked. The Segway does require negotiating through pedestrian traffic and across busy intersections that give you between 20 and 60 seconds to cross. There is PLENTY of time to make the required crossings just not enough time to be timid. That being said, the Captial Segway Tour was our favorite part of the touring of Washington. You save literally thousands of steps, hours of walking and almost everyone you pass is interested cause it is so cool! Our only disappointment on the tour was the National Park Authority will not allow Segways in the National Park area (considering this a motorized vehicle) so the tour did not include the Monuments (Lincoln, Jefferson...etc) we did go by the Washington Monument and viewed it from it's base. So go to the monuments one day and the Segway tour another. I felt the price was very reasonable for the fun we had. My personal disappointment was when I had to give my Segway back, it was really addictive! Capital Segway is a Segway dealer and now I am going to start saving for one.

Having never been to Washinton, DC, I had no idea how many interesting sites there were and how far apart they are. The Segway Tour was a great way to see a lot and have fun. It was easier to operate the Segway than I expected and our guide did a great job of taking us through all of the safety issues prior to the tour. It was a great experience!

This was an amazing experience. The staff helped our group feel very comfortable and were able to teach us how to use the segways so fast. The tour its self was awesome as we saw alot of landmarks in DC and had a cool history lesson to boot. Thank you to the staff for a very fun afternoon!!

My husband and I really enjoyed our Segway tour. It was a really hot day and being able to travel at speeds of up to 12.5 MPH felt great! It was a truly enjoyable way to experience Washington. The guides were extremely knowledgeable and kept the tour exciting. It is definitely something you should do!

Thank you for asking my age...if you were here I'd run you over with a borrowed segway! In life it's not the miles, it's the course, and ours is active and fun! Having wanted to ride a Segway ever since we first head about them we had been thwarted at every turn...weather, sold out, late flights... At last a trip to Washington DC provided the opportunity we had waited so long for. It was incredible. Everything we had thought it would be and more. I did feel sorry for the younger couple scheduled with us. We left them in the dust! They kept apologizing for keeping us waiting (like we sat still...we zoomed in circles as we waited). Our guide, Will, was an intelligent college senior with interests similar to ours and we had a blast! We did feel guilty about not paying much attention to his talk though. We were too busy zooming off here and there and handing out flyers to interested onlookers. My husband even took movies as we went! I would have stayed for the next tour and done it again, if it hadn't been sold out. If we didn't live in crowded and not-Segway-friendly Manhattan we'd stiff the kids this Christmas and buy Segways for ourselves...I still might...I'll ride around the kitchen! You should open a franchise in Central Park! (If you do we get rides free for the idea!) In 20 years we'll be using these instead of wheelchairs! Watch your back!

My family and I came to DC for a family reunion and about 9 of us went on the Segway tour and everyone of us loved it. The tour guides were very nice and helpful in making you feel comfortable on the Segway! Would do it again in a minute!!

We had two guides that did a great job. Besides making everyone feel comfortable, they were very familiar with the city, friendly, and enthusiastic. There were three in my group, and we all loved it and would recommend it to anyone. It's a big city, and a lot of ground can be covered on a Segway.
