See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

The Segway Tour is a great compliment to other types of tours (walking around on your own, bus tour, etc). There are only a few planned stops along the way, so limited opportunities for pictures since you should be keeping two hands on the Segway handles. :) But you cover a lot of ground in two hours, and the guide is informative as you're passing by points of interest (everyone gets a wireless receiver with earbud to hear the guide). Since I wasn't taking many pictures anyway, I was happy to take the evening tour and see the city buildings and monuments all lit up. Another bonus is that the sidewalks are less busy at night, so less of a worry for navigating around pedestrians and so you can open up the Segway to top speeds! :) The tour is a little pricey, but the Segway is a lot of fun to ride and this is a unique way to get around and see the sights.

Our group have been on Segways before and loved riding them. This incorporated the fun of riding a segway and seeing highlights of our nation's capitol. Our whole group loved the experience. Riding down the middle of Pennsylvania Ave on a segway topped the whole tour wonderfully.

I can think of no better way to see a city than taking a Segway Tour. This was my second tour on a Segway and I do recommend it as the first action of business upon your arrival to Washington D.C. or any other desitnation that is unfamiliar to you. This is a fun and easy way to travel and see the sights. It will make you feel like a small child again, having fun with no worries. You will not want the tour to end! We chose the 2 hour tour and would have loved to go another hour. The tour is worth every penny and will be the best money spent on your entire vacation or trip.

My Sister and I thoroughly enjoyed taking this tour. We had to make a couple of detours because of activities around the White House, but still managed to see all sights and have a great time. The Segway is easy to use and fun.

It was the first time I tried the Segway PT and I can assure that is one of the most amazing experience I ever had. My girlfriend was really scared about this newness but after few minutes of riding the fear disappeared and we enjoyed the tour so much. Mario had been a fantastic guide and all the staff is kind and very helpful. It's an experience to try at least once in your life. Salvatore.

We had an awesome time, and Drew was a great trainer and guide. It was wonderful that we each had earphones so we could hear everything that Drew said, something I was concerned about since I am hard of hearing. The Segways were easy to use, and I never once felt that I was unsafe (or any of the pedestrians we passed). We'll be back for another tour!

Wonderful experience! Could not have seen half of what we saw in an entire day of walking! Really splendid. These segways are FAR easier to ride than it appears. Some in our original group chickened out... what a horrible mistake. These machines are AWESOME and VERY easy to control after just a minute or two riding them. Way enthusiastic thumbs up! We're doing it AGAIN next time we visit Washington just because it was SO FUN!
