| I have to admit, this sounded good from the get go. When I got to the store and watched the video I started to get a little nervous, specially when it was my turn to get on the Segway. But in less that 30 seconds I had gotten the hang of it. We went to the park across the street to practice for about 10 minutes. By then we were ready. There were people of all ages and sizes in our group. I LOVED THIS TOY!. Everybody in the group wanted one and every person on the street wanted to know where they could get the tour.
I recommend you do one of the earliers tours since you won't be exposed as much to the noon soon. Wear sun screen, a hat and a small backpack if you wish to carry water (women can leave their purses locked in the store). |

| We had a great time. The guide had some interesting information on the sites we visited. It's too bad the tour is unable to go by the WWII Memorial. |

| While our tourguide was rather new to DC and had spotty knowledge about the sights, the fun of zipping around the Segways more than made up for any shortness of depth. While the idea of climbing aboard these vehicles seemed daunting when we arrived, within a few minutes we were confidently navigating our way across the street and through a nearby park. Next we "hit the road" with a foray around the White House, across the Mall and all the way up to the top of Capital Hill. We returned via Pennsylvania Avenue with a few diversionary stops along the way. We soon discovered that the Segways really did seem to respond to our thoughts - think "forward" and off you'd go. Turns came just as naturally. The feel was almost like an earth-bound magic carpet.
A word of warning: Some other local operators offer 3-hour tours. Ours, at 2 hours plus training time, was about any in our group of 5 (plus the guide) wished for since standing constantly during the tour lead to tired feet.
Would we take this trip again? Absolutely! And the sooner the better! |

| I'd been on a segway tour in Chicago and absolutely loved it. This tour was great too, nice equipment, good guide. Loved that she was fine with us just playing on the segways if we wanted to, instead of paying attention to the local information. She also made sure we got to ride the segway for the full two hours, even though we were technically done with the tour 10 minutes early, by letting us ride around in the nearby park at the end. I'm going to go again next time I'm in DC. |

| Our group was a 48 year old Mom with a 52 year old Mom, Sister-in-law (SIL). If we can ride these things - anyone can! :) In fact, my SIL said it was the most fun she'd ever had, and without a doubt, the highlight of the trip to the D.C. area. I completely agree! It took all of 5 minutes to "get the hang" of riding the Segway. By half way thru the trip, we were admonishing ourselves to "not get too cocky" on them! Ha! We were the envy of all who saw us - from the young who thought, "WAY COOL - I'd love to ride one of those", to the huddled masses, sitting and resting their tired feet and overheated bodies thinking.... "Hmmm, why didn't we think of that"! I live near D.C. and am lining up friends and associates to take the tour and experience the fun. You cover a lot of distance in a short amount of time, get up-close looks at key sites, and have a blast all the while you're doing it. IT'S WELL WORTH EVERY PENNY TO TOUR D.C. - OR ANY CITY - THIS WAY. I can't say enough positive things about the experience. 2 hours is perfect and we had a short break at the Capital building - sitting in the shade and having a photo shoot. Can't wait to do it again! You gotta try this. :) |

| My teenage son and I loved it! The Segways are a blast and easy to ride. The guides were just the right amount of info--they knew that the highlight was the Segway riding and they didn't keep us still too long. No long list of rules, etc. that we expected to get.
Of course if you really were interested in what they told you, they were knowledgeable and pleasant about telling you what you wanted to know.
We didn't want to get off! Wish it was longer. Wanted to take one home! |

| Had a great time, easy to master, guide was great!
Had more fun riding than learning some DC history.
The training was good and we were well instructed.
Highly reccomend. It was worth it. |

| The guided Segway tour of DC was as much fun as I have had touring a city in my life. I am a frequent traveler, who likes to see a lot of interesting things, but get bored with a standard tour in a bus or walking with a group. This tour is unique, fun, and the guides realize that you are there for riding Segways as much as you are to see the sights in DC. Highly recommend this tour!! |
