See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

A new experience and a real adventure. It only took several minutes to become proficient on the Segway. Other tourists looked at us with envy and many asked where they could get information about the tour. Our guide was friendly and knowledgeable. This is a must tour if you are going to Washington D.C.

Great fun. Enabling much ground to be covered in the 2 hour tour. The mikes are a huge plus - allowing all comments to be heard and sights are not missed. Replying can be difficult if not next / near to the guide. We loved segwaying - what is the correct verb? It was really easy - we wanted another go! We were excited about this opportunity when we found it on the web. We knew Segways are cutting edge technology and were anxious to explore this for ourselves. Knowing that there is so much to see in DC and involves covering a lot of area, we found the Segway tour the perfect way to explore and see the sights while having fun on the latest technology. After a brief instruction on how to ride and operate the Segway, we performed our test rides in the nearby park. We were amazed at the simplicity of operation and how quick we learned to safely operate the devices. If my technology challenged wife can operate and ride Segways, anybody can - really. After a few minutes buzzing around the park, off we went to streets and sidewalks of DC. It was remarkable how maneuverable the Segways could operate. Turns, braking, and moving about, even in some cases with the pedestrians on the sidewalks, was really easy and caught the eyes and cameras of tourists and spectators. We covered a lot of area in our tour. The guide provided us with a radio receiver that we listened to while he provided us excellent and at times humorous details about the sites of DC. My whole family thoroughly enjoyed the tour and adventure. My wife exclaimed it was worth every penny. I would highly recommend the Captial Segway Tours for those looking to see the beautiful sites of DC from a most exciting perspective! We will use Captial Segway again on our next visit to DC without question.

My husband and I decided to take a trip to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, and traveling from Philadelphia to DC for a weekend was reasonable. In our search for an "event" for the weekend, my husband found the Capital Segway tours and thought it would be worth a shot. We had a fabulous time!! Our tour guides were very friendly and easy-going. They made me feel very at ease with figuring out how to use the Segway's, and spent time allowing us to get used to them before venturing out for the tour. And what a way to see the city! They're a ton of fun, easy to figure out, and we had a great time snapping pictures from a-top our perch. The guides were informative, and encouraged us to have fun on the Segway's when we got to open spaces. Now we are looking for other cities that offer these tours just so that we can take them! I'd recommend Capital Segway to anyone looking to take a tour of DC, or even just looking to have a good time for the afternoon! The Segway's are so much fun, if I had the money, I'd get one myself!

The Segway experience was awesome. My son, wife and I took the Segway tour and had a ball. Who knew that the Segway could be so fun and it definitely made the tour easier. Better than walking or biking, for sure. We will be sharing our experience with all our family and friends. Whoo hoo!! Chris
