See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

Chris and Drew were among the best tour guides I've had on any tour--smart, charming, safe, funny, and handsome of course. They made our Segway tour experience something we (especially my daughter) will remember the rest of our lives, and we are jaded D.C.-area residents not easy to impress.

We had such a great time on this tour. Drew was our guide and we zipped around the D.C. area on our Segways for nearly 2 hours. The tour included the White House, the Capital, the Newseum, and many other sights. A beautiful view of the Washington Monument was the sight of the day, in my opinion. Overall, the tour was fast paced, fun and entertaining - I highly recommend it!!

The tour was very good. As college students who have been here for four years, we thought it would be the same information we knew about the DC landmarks, but the guide gave us new, interesting information. Thanks for everything!

We had a fantastic time. It was our first time participating in a Segway Tour. We had a group of six. Two friends from the DC area, my husband and our two older boys (19 and 16 years old) and me. Our guide (I think his name is Chris) was great. He was very knowledgeable of the history and the sites. He was very entertaining and kept our attention the entire time. He was attentive to the road and pointed out obstacles and irregularities in the road so that we would not have any accidents. He was prepared with new batteries in case our head sets ran out. It was a great way to see the monuments in DC. I highly recommend the tour, the Segways and the touring company. Our friends from the DC area who had been in many Segway tours of other cities commented on the efficiency of the head set system to hear the tour guide. The tours they had been in the past did not have them and it was difficult to hear the guide. Thanks for a great time. Liliana Janer

I had a great time on the Segway tour. Drew was an awesome guide with a lot of fun facts about the city and its sights. Having lived in DC for over 4 years, I wasn't expecting to learn very much, but that wasn't the case at all. It took a few minutes to get used to the Segway (I've never used one before), but once I did, it was very easy to use. This was super fun, and I recommend it to anyone.

This was not our first time in DC, however it was a planned get-away for my wife's birthday. As it was our first time on Segways, were we a little nervous but soon after the orientation we were on our way and feeling more and more confident. Chris was our tour guide and did a great job making sure everyone in our group stayed together as well as provided a very decriptive explaination of the buildings. He provided great photo opportinuties and answered all historical questions we had. As this tour does include riding in the bike path provided in the road, I would recommend the Segway dealer provide reflective vests for all patrons. From someone who manages safety issues, I believe it is very important for all Segway riders to remain visible to all drivers. As our tour ended just past sunset (5:15pm), I beleive we became an easy target as we became less visible @ night. All in all this was a great opportunity for me and my wife who would do it again! Infact, if I lived in the city I would want to own a Segway!! :)

The Segway was so easy to use and just so much fun. We had ipods that connected us to the tour guide so we could wander while still listening. It was a great way to see all the sites and truly enjoy the ride. The guide, Aaron, was informative, casual and funny. It was such a great experience that I wanted to do it again the very next day but they were already sold out!

We loved the Segway tour of DC. The people running Capital Segway were delightful and couldn't have been more helpful to insure a fun experience. Segway's are so much fun to ride that I wasn't sure if the tour was so fun or just riding. After our ride we recommended it to our group and another 25 people went the following 3 days.

This was my second time on the Segway Tour of DC. I can't wait for family to visit again so that I can do it again.

The tour was awesome! Our guides were very knowledgable and the Segways were fun to ride. Our group was a little apprehensive at first but after a few minutes we became experts on the Segways and were zipping around with ease. We covered a lot of ground and had a blast wheeling about DC. The lowly bipeds (common pedestrians) showered us with questions and they were envious of our ride. Capital Segway was great and allowed us to explore and play around on the Segways during the tour which was a big part of the fun. They were very helpful and went out of their way to take group pictures and answer questions. We cannot wait for another Segway tour!
