See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

I put this together for family visiting from out of town. I expected it to be a goofy but entertaining experience. What we got was great fun, a lot of interesting information and friendly guides. I will do this again and highly recommend it to others.

My friend and I planned a Segway tour as the first thing we were going to do in DC. Our thought was that the Segway tour would give us the highlights of the City and we could better plan what attractions we wanted to go back and spend more time visiting over the next several days of our trip. Great plan, but unfortunately, we missed our 6:25 a.m. flight to DC, so we were unable to get there in time for our 3:00 p.m. reservation. We called and they were great about rescheduling us to the next day. Our Segway Tour guide was Adam and he was great. First, he showed us a video which will scare the pants off you about how you can get injured if you act like a hotdog on a Segway. Then we received individual specific instructions on how to operate the Segway. I was intimidated by the video and that little stick figure guy who kept falling and breaking his back and legs and busting his head so I listened carefully to Adam and followed his instructions to the letter. Then we got on the Segway and went across the street to a spacious park to practice before getting on the sidewalk or in the street. It's really a lot easier than it looks and it feels wonderful to be Segwaying along while other mere mortals are walking. Adam took us to see most of the highlights in DC, but the most impressive was when we went to the White House. Adam's commentary on the sights we were seeing was educational and fun, too, but sometimes a little corny. Need to upgrade those jokes, Adam! But he was so cute, we didn't mind. My friend and I had a great time and it's the perfect way to get to know the City. By the way, after visiting several European cities in past years, I'm proud to say our capitol city is the friendliest, safest and most accommodating city I've ever visited. I'd recommend a DC visit to anyone and the best way to get a flavor of the City is on a Segway!

My husband (age 88!) and I had the most delightful time on the Segway tour! The training was excellent and the trainer was very patient with us. Chris, our tour guide, was outstanding! He was extremely knowledgeable, paid close attention to his group. We felt completely safe with him, in spite of the fact that we wound in and out of traffic all over town! His anecdotes were most interesting and informative. My husband and I have been talking about the great fun we had on the tour and are recommending it to everyone who listens! We patted ourselves on the back for being brave enough at our ages to attempt this, but with the good guidance of your staff, we needn't have worried. Just a terrific idea and well executed! Bravo for you!

That was amazing. So easy to handle. After you get confortable (3 min) you are good to go. Me and my niece enjoyed a lot. We had very good time. I always wanted to do this tour, that was a dream come true! Thank you!

The tour was really fun and exciting. The segway machine gets a little getting used to at first but then its a blast. The tour guides were great and very patient and had extreme knowledge of the area. Overall, it was a very satisfying experience. Thumbs up, everyone should give it a go. You get to see the majority of the hot spots which comprises DC and its history. And the best part is, it's a walking tour without the walking!

My wife and I had to reschedule this tour several times but are so glad it worked out when it did. The weather was awesome and the tour was excellent. I though the guides were enthusiastic and did a good job of teaching the group. I'd say for me the first 20 minutes was just getting use to riding the segway and I didn't really pay that much attention to the tour part but after I got settled in then I really started enjoying listening to the tour guide. Everyone in the group handled the segways well except for my wife who had a few issues at first getting it to go uphills but by half way through she was riding like a pro. Would do one again anytime.

This was a great experience. Training provided since no prior experience. Great anecdotal information about sites in DC. Didn't feel rushed but got to see a lot. Time to just experience the SegWays! Awesome!

We all had a great time and loved our tour guide Chris. I have already recommended it to a lot of my coworkers when they have family come visit and I'm very likely to come back soon and go on the Dan Brown tour. Good times.

Very well organized felt comfortable with instructor loved...loved ...loved the whole experience!!!!

It beats walking around the different monuments and buildings. We were able to see a lot in a short amount of time. It's efficient. It's not tiring. It's fun. If there is one thing I would add it's the Lincoln Memorial. I would highly recommend this to anyone.
