See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

I was worried when the time of our tour was pushed back from 5:00 to 7:00. I thought there would be no good photo ops when most of the tour would be in the dark. I was wrong big time! The picture of us in front of a lit up White House is great! Plus, the later tour had more freedom to really fly on the Segways! There was less foot traffic on the sidewalks and we had lots of opportunity to ride in the streets. Definitely wear comfortable shoes - your feet get tired! The guides were great. It was a relaxed and friendly group. The machines are easy to handle. I'd recommend this to ANY and EVERY one!

I loved this tour. We toured at night which was great in the sense that the attractions were lit up and the sidewalks were less busy (giving us more room to zip around and play on our segways) The drawback to touring at night was that it was difficult to see in some areas and a few potholes and bumps took me by surprise. I found I had to pay such close attention to the road surface, I didn't always look around to the buildings and sites. A headlight would have been helpful in some areas. The tour guides were great...they were able to answer questions, had a good sense of humor, and were happy to snap pictures. I really did enjoy the tour and it is certainly one of the highlights of our weekend in the Capitol City!

we did the sunset tour so the monuments were lit up and both car and pedestrian traffic were at a minimum. Tour guides were very well informed and gave a great tour! Riding the Segway was easy and more fun than we imagined. I took my daughter who lives in DC, and she thought it was great becasue although she had visited the places we went she had never had a guided tour and learned a lot also.

My husband and I had so much fun on the segueway. What a way to see the city!! The ride was as exciting as the scenery! We took the excursion on the first day of our trip and after seeing many of the highlights of the city, decided what we wanted to go back to and investigate further the rest of the weekend. The tour was informative but really, I just loved riding the segueway!!

Had a great time on the Segway tour and was shown heaps of sites around Washington. Staff were very helpful and informative.

Our group consisted of five members of our family, three brothers and two wives. We are all well over 50 years old and were hoping that the Segway tour would work for everyone. I read some reviews, from other groups taking the Segway tour and all were very positive. Needless to say, we were very excited. Our Segway day was so much better than we had expected. The machines are very stable and easy to control. There is almost no learning curve. Within minutes our group was wheeling out the door and down the street, stopping, turning, crossing major intersections and maneuvering with great ease. After a short while it all become so comfortable that we could sightsee and take photos, all while moving. We were outfitted with small receivers and earphones so everyone could hear the descriptions that our guide provided. He did a great job. Our tour took us to most of the major attractions in DC. We could stop and take photos and were not required to stay in a line. Our freedom (and not a lot of rules) made it fun. I would strongly recommend the Capitol Segway Tours. I doubt if we could have had a better time. Thanks, again to Capitol Segway for giving us the best experience of our DC vacation. John Butler

I would highly recommend the Capital Segway tour of DC. We had a great tour guide who was very knowledgeable about the city. It was the most fun I've had in a long time and everyone in my group had a good time. We will definitely go back again for another tour!

My husband and I and two of our friends recently did the Capital Segway tour and had an absolute blast. It was a perfect mix of historical information and playing on the segways. We learned a lot about DC and at the same time loved trying something new! I only wish it was longer than 2 hours. The segway tour was worth every penny and I would do it again in a heartbeat!

While this is a wonderful way to start your visit to DC it is also a fantastic way to "Top it off" at the end. We took the night Segway tour with Chris as our fearless leader for one last breathtaking view of our American history. It was a great way to end a wonderful visit to our nations Capitol. We saw the monuments and sights in all their splendor after dark with the beautiful lighting. Chris gave us an interesting history lesson and we always felt safe on the Segways even in the the DC traffic. We had plenty of time to feel comfortable on the Segways before "taking it to the streets" and will definitely go back on our next visit.
