See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

Our guide was wonderful. We had a great time riding on the segways. We got a great view of DC at night and got some great pictures. I highly recommend this tour.

One of the best tours we've been on. Would recommend to anyone who would like to see the sights up close without getting tired out from the long walk!

We just did the 2 hour tour with Capitol Segway in Washington DC. It it is a great way to visit the city an fun!! I highly recommend!! Guides Chris and Erica were very informed and knowledgeable!

Great fun. Quick instruction but the segways were intuitive to use after 5 minutes. A Sunday morning time slot meant less auto and pedestrian traffic, so there were lots of opportunities to go at full throttle. Terrific guides/leaders. We would recommend heartily.

Staff and tour guides were extremely friendly and more than willing to take pictures of me and my group (family and friends) on tour. Whether you're out there to really have a tour of DC or just to play on the segway, this is a great way to spend a few hours. I would absolutely recommend this tour and I intend to go on another one next time I've got friends/family from out of town coming to visit. Five stars and two thumbs up!

We had a wonderful time touring Washington DC on a Segway. Our guides were wonderful, fun and informative, and it was just a great experience. Love to ride on a Segway.

My friends and I enjoyed our recent Segway Tour of Washington, D.C. Partly because there were some interesting facts and stories about some of the sites we visited on our Segways, partly because we never would have been able to cover the 7 miles in only two hours if we had been walking, and partly because it was just so much fun experiencing Segways for the first time. They fast became very intiutive to operate, with no problem learning how. The folks at Capital Segway give you a brief orientation and safety instructions and then take you across the street to a large park to have about 15 minutes to practice and get the feel for operating your segway at full speed. The narrative (using headset radio) was an excellent way to hear about all the sites we visited and some interesting stories about their history. I would recommend this type of tour to anyone in D.C., and will also be on the lookout for similar Segway tours in other cities.

Fun way to see the city in a small amount of time.

I was worried when the time of our tour was pushed back from 5:00 to 7:00. I thought there would be no good photo ops when most of the tour would be in the dark. I was wrong big time! The picture of us in front of a lit up White House is great! Plus, the later tour had more freedom to really fly on the Segways! There was less foot traffic on the sidewalks and we had lots of opportunity to ride in the streets. Definitely wear comfortable shoes - your feet get tired! The guides were great. It was a relaxed and friendly group. The machines are easy to handle. I'd recommend this to ANY and EVERY one!

I loved this tour. We toured at night which was great in the sense that the attractions were lit up and the sidewalks were less busy (giving us more room to zip around and play on our segways) The drawback to touring at night was that it was difficult to see in some areas and a few potholes and bumps took me by surprise. I found I had to pay such close attention to the road surface, I didn't always look around to the buildings and sites. A headlight would have been helpful in some areas. The tour guides were great...they were able to answer questions, had a good sense of humor, and were happy to snap pictures. I really did enjoy the tour and it is certainly one of the highlights of our weekend in the Capitol City!
