See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

The Segway tour is the first thing we did in D.C. Having never been before I was looking forward to using the tour as a way to get to know the layout of the city. It fit the bill perfectly. After the two hour tour I knew exactly where everything was. So it served a purpose, but it was also a lot of fun. Will, our guide, did a fine job teaching the ins and outs of Segway operation and kept us informed of the basic tourist info at each of the stops. Segways are a blast to operate and are a lot faster (and less tiring) than walking. Thus, they're ideal for a place like D.C. where there is a lot of ground to cover between the monuments and the musems. So a Segway tour is perfect whether you have a lot to see or just want to have fun doing what you'd normally do on foot.

My 22 year old daughter and I found Capital Segway on online while planning our trip to DC. I called and asked questions. All my questions were answered and they were very helpful and informative. We arrived for the tour, watched a short video, brief demo, and then taken across the street for a practice run to make you feel comfortable on the segway. The actual tour was awesome!! Will, our tour guide, showed us DC. He was very knowledgeable about DC, the sites on the tour, the history, and other good places to go off the tour. We saw so much on the tour and covered alot of ground in the two hour time, that we had time to see or go back to sites we wanted to spend longer time. We want to thank Capital Segway and Will for a wonderful introduction to seeing Washington DC.

Riding the Segways was fantastic. It makes me want to buy one soon. It was amazingly easy, and felt very much like downhill skiing, only a lot safer. I just wish they would have rented by the week, after the tour. It was the best way to get around town in DC, and we could have used one for days. The tour guide was OK but nothing sensational. We had seen a lot of DC before so his tour was pretty much as expected. It was the right length, and hit all the high spots, so I would give the tour guide a B+. He does have his hands full with a bunch of Segways crusing around. Over all very fun times.

I had a great time on my Segway. My tour guide was a little speedy and at times of felt nervous but i would no doubt do it again!!! I have already googled what other cities i can take a segway tour in. Good information on the tour.

Capital Segway was a fun, different way to tour Washington, D.C. Having never been on a Segway, I was exited in the first place to see what it would be like. Our (me and my brothers) experience were beyond what we were expecting. Before we got on the segways, we had a quick overview of the whole process of handling a segway, and we got to practice. The tour guide was down to earth, fun, and very knowledgeable about the DC area. Overall, I would highly recommend taking this tour, with Capital Segways. We had a great experience, and would do it again. It was an awesome, different to tour the city. The best thing about the tour, is because we were mobile, and taking sidewalks, we were able to have a closer experience to the city. It was much better than to be on a bus, or trolley. Thank you Capital Segway!!!

Our experience with our recent Capital Segway tour of Washington was thoroughly enjoyable. We had recently taken a Segway tour in another major east coast city and found Capital Segway to be heads and shoulders better in a number of key areas. The training was excellent and very relaxed. We started in the showroom and when everyone was comfortable on their Segway, we moved across the street to a park with plenty of room to practice at touring speeds. Once everyone was comfortable here, we headed out for the tour. We were provided a high quality portable receiver & headset so we could hear our guide throughout the tour. Noah, our guide, was very informative. The Segways were in great shape and all units were fully charged for the tour. We have been to Washington a number of times but the Segway tour enabled us to cover a lot of ground in a couple of hours and see details we had never noticed on previous visits.

My wife and I spent a week in DC and this tour was the most fun we had all week. Very easy to learn how to operate, very friendly staff and very entertaining commentary on the tour. One suggestion would be to try to keep the tour group closer together so the headsets don't cut out because the group gets so spread out. Other than that, it was great!

Best tour I've ever taken. My wife and I had a great time. Segway tours are the perfect way to see a city.

The Segways took less "training" than I thought. Everyone in our group picked it up almost immediately. Very, very fun, the entire group laughed and had a great time even in the midst of some sprinkling rain. We did it on a weekend morning when there were less crowds on the sidewalks. If you have a few hours you will thoroughly enjoy this tour.
