See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

Segway tours are great. We saw more in 2 hrs than we could see walking in 2 days

This was a fantastic tour. We watched a safety video, went through a short training session, then climbed aboard our Segways. Our guides worked with us in the store, ensuring we were able to operate our new toys. A quick trip across the street to the park and we all had about 10 minutes to become familiar with this new form of transportation. We had 2 guides, one leading and narrating the tour via wireless audio, and one to bring up the rear helping those with first time jitters (like my wife). We saw more of the city on the Segways than we have seen on buses or on foot. You spend most of the time on the Segways, but do stop at a few monuments and the White House. This is primarily a tour to have fun on the Segway, so use the opportunity to learn where everything is located, then go back later for a detailed tour. The whole tour took 2 hours, but went by fast. Everyone survived the tour and everyone had a great time. My wife and I booked an evening tour the next day we had so much fun. Another nice feature is you can go as fast as a Segway can (about 12 mph), but if you are not comfortable going that fast, you don't have to. Even the slowpokes caught up with the rest of the group at traffic crossings. If you are considering this tour, I recommend you book it. You will NOT be sorry!

My wife and I took the Segway tour to get an overview of the mall and decide what we wanted to go back and see in more detail. It was great! The guide (Drew) was great and the Segways were very fun. Definitely a highlight of the trip!

This is the way to see the city. I used to live in DC and had "done" the museums, the capital, the mall, you name it. I thought I had seen it all. The segways are great fun but really the tour itself was the exciting part, lots of historical info and interesting facts.

We had the BEST time on the Segway tour! There were only four of us on the tour, my husband and I and another 50+ couple. We all figured out the Segways quickly, and were off on our way! I'm a genuine klutz, and, as my son later put it, if I didn't crash, it must have been easier than walking! Drew was an entertaining tour guide, and seemed to truly enjoy his work. We would definitely do it again!

This was the highlight of my DC trip. It was fun and informative. The Segway was easy to learn. I felt comfortable right away. Only down side...the time flew by so quickly, I wished for more. CapSegway staff were great.

The Segways were very intuitive, and we learned to navigate pretty well with a brief training period. Then we were off into the streets and sidewalks of DC! Before long we could easily thread our way through crowds and look around at the same time. The Segways were the perfect conveyance around the mall - we saw the White House, the Washington Monument, the Capitol, and everything in between in our 2-hour tour. The guides - one in front and one bringing up the rear - kept us moving while giving us interesting information about the sights via individual radios. Although some people we passed seemed annoyed or oblivious, most people were intrigued, and many asked us how they could take the tour. It was a real hoot, and everyone should try it!

I was so excited for my Segway adventure and was not disappointed. Not only was the guide knowledgeable, he was witty and lot of fun. The Segways were a blast to ride. Two hours went by so fast! Thank you for a great time.
