See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

We had a thoroughly fantastic time both riding the Segways and seeing the sights in DC. This is by far the best way to see the city! We highly recommend taking the evening tour. Although we were initially worried about riding in the dark, this was not a problem. The big advantage is that there are fewer pedestrians and less traffic to worry about. (It was also a lot cooler during our stay!) The Segways are very easy to use. (This company only uses the newer model, which apparently helps a lot.) Both of us felt comfortable after about 5 minutes of practice. By the end of the evening, riding was second nature. In truth, it is only slightly harder than standing up. The tour guide was very experienced and informative. He kept careful track of all of the riders and made sure that stragglers did not get left behind. Importatly, once you have taken the tour, you can then rent the Segways to explore DC on your own! We did this the next day and visited many sights that we would have otherwise missed. Who has the time and the energy to walk all the way around the tidal basin? On a Segway, it is a breeze, even in the heat of the afternoon. We would never have gotten around to seeing the new Roosevelt Memorial (recommended) without them.) The Segway has all of the maneuverability of feet, the speed of a bicycle, and the ease of a recliner! I wish I could find a good reason to buy one of my own!

Great activity for family with older children. We all felt it awesome!

Although it may seem scary at first, our guides instructed us and allowed us to practice before the tour started...It was surprisingly easy to learn and by the end of the tour we didn't want it to end...You'll amaze yourself how good you'll be after the 2 hours. If you're thinking about this at all...do it! You won't regret it.

We had a great time, and my very frightened scared mother did well. The guide looked out for her, the office was available for extra training to make her feel good, and the tour didn't go too fast. We had a blast and I am highly recommending it to everyone.

We loved the Segways and got used to using them quickly. It was great fun seeing the sights. we had the evening tour, the night was beautiful and hardly anybody was around. We enjoyed every minute of it and certainly would consider segging again.

I thought my husband and I would have fun on the segway tour but boy did I underestimate just how much fun we would have. It was a BLAST! The tour guides were fun and very knowledgeable. The Segways were top of the line and easy to master. It was so much fun that from now on, we are going to see if there are any segway tours on every future vacation. We are seriously considering purchasing some for ourselves so that we will always have access to the fun and convience the segway has to offer. If your not afraid to have a good time then a Capitol Segway tour is a must!

This was my second time to the DC area. I took my friend along this time and decided to do the tour in a segway. THIS IS THE WAY TO DO IT! No walking, and best of all, fun! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable (Willie) and highly recommended. The Segways were very very very easy to use. After a brief training, it becomes very natural, just like waking! This is a no-brainer. Just do it, you'll love it . If you don't, you're weird.

THE SEGWAY TOUR WAS WONDERFUL! WE TOURED WASHINGTON DC WHICH HAS MILES OF WALKING TO SEE THE SITES. THIS TOUR BROUGHT US UP CLOSE AND PERSONAL TO A FEW WE HAD MISSED ALONG THE WAY. THE TOUR GUIDE WAS WONDERFUL AND INFORMATIVE. THIS TOUR WAS THE HIGHLITE OF OUR FOUR DAYS IN DC. I WOULD DO IT AGAIN IN A HEARTBEAT.
