| We recommend this as the #1 thing to do for those extra special visitors/friends who come to Washington, DC. (Do this first before all other outings.)
My husband, 24 yr old stepson and I had a fun time Saturday, June 30 , 2007 on the 630p trip. Two positive, friendly instructor/tour leaders (Noah & Lenora, I believe) led us safely, with ease on a smooth ride around the city. Segways are easy/safe to get on/off and "drive/ride." The practice session in the park across the street before the tour was valuable, allowing time to create a SW operator comfort zone.
Any responsible individual over 16-80 yrs would be a good candidate for this adventure. Wear flat shoes, as you will be on your feet 2-3 hrs. Anyone unable to withstand that should not participate.
Our summer evening event was peaceful, in superb weather, with plenty of room to navigate. You may have been on tours that take the visitor door-to-door to the museums and buildings. You may have worked and driven all around the area many, many times. You may have even walked a few times to/from the attractions/around the mall, et al. I have done all 3.) However, you have never experienced the ease, safety, swiftness, height advantage or riding fun touring around on an oh-so-easy-to-operate Model 2 Segway offers!
(The $65 each price tag was well worth it. If the electric battery charge had a range of 50 miles, rather than 24, we'd be sure to own two each of these ~$5100 models.)
We can't wait to find 2 more couples to join us for a more private tour this summer.
Have a blast! Do remember to bring your camera.
V/r,
Suzette & family

| I suggest that the trip be three hours as opposed to the two hour tour we booked. However, we really enjoyed it! It was fun and the Segways were extremely easy to control. I recommend it to anyone! |

| My only suggesiton would be to not have the tour guide anwser phone calls during the tour-he was polite and told them that he would have to call them back but my suggestion would be to not anwser them at all while we are on tour (working) and trying to explain the history, that just takes away from the tour.
Also, we had a few in our group that were a little abnixious but I felt as though the two tour guides were afraid to tell them to stop doing things they know the participant should not be doing-the tour guides are in charge so they shouldn't hesitate to tell anyone to stop doing something.
I hightly recommend this tour-very fun and I look forward to doing it again! |

| Although the tour is described as 2 to 2.5 hours long we started at 6.30 & were back at the shop by 8.05 - and that includes the bit of training we had in the shop!
Although I enjoyed riding the segway, as I'd already riden one before I was disappointed not to see more of Washington and have the full 2 hours.
I'd not recommend this particular company and would go else where next time. |

| My son and I had a great time riding the Segway and seeing DC up close.
We both definitely recommend it and I know we will do it again sometime soon. |

| If you're worried about riding a Segway, don't be. It's very easy to learn. And they give you a chance to practice in the park across the street before the tour gets underway. My wife was initially concerned but now we both look forward to other tours in DC and elsewhere on a Segway.
If you want a relatively quick outdoor tour of significant sites, this is the way to go. No hassles with traffic, parking or directions. You just follow the guide and go!
Our guide was informative about the city and its landmarks, patient with pedestrians who impeded our progress (and our desire to take the Segway up to the max speed!), knew how to get around road repairs and blocked routes, and got us back to our originating point right on time.
Great fun! You even become an attraction for other tourists who photograph and videotape you. We highly recommend it! |

| We had only seen Segways, never ridden one. They were a snap to learn, even for klutzes like us. Our tour guide had us riding like pros after 10 minutes of practice . It was especially important to have that practice session in the park located across the street from their office.
It was a fantastic way to tour the city, and our guide was extremely knowledgeable.
I cannot say enough about how fun this was. It is really a memorable activity to do here! |

| My husband is a 'motorhead' who likes snowmachines and 4 wheelers with lots of power. He was skeptical about doing this but totally enjoyed himself. We seriously thought about renting them for a day later but ran out of time. I would recommend it for any and all types of people. |
