| We took the Sunday night Segway tour of Washington DC. This is our third Segway city tour and probably the best. Our guide Aaron did a great job. Segwaying at night was a little different but he allowed us the freedom to test the Segways and have some fun.
We would highly recommend this tour to anyone! |

| Our guide, Erin, was entertaining, friendly, informative and CUTE. This was our first time and the entire group can't wait to segway again and again. |

| The tour was terrific. It was a sunny afternoon so it was perfect to get around. Took my nephew out for his birthday and he thoroughly enjoyed it. I think he wants one. |

| Definitely a great, new experience and a lot of fun. Our tour guides were full of info and funny which made the experience that much better. The best part was at the very end of the tour when they let us "play" on the segway in an empty parking lot.
Was a little weary riding that thing through the streets of DC, but felt like a pro after about 10 minutes. |

| A group of us come to DC to run the Marine Corps Marathon each October. We arrive three days early to tour the sites and restaurants. In 2008 we signed up for the evening tour of DC - it was so much fun when we returned in 2009 we signed up for the same tour.
We found the evening tour to be very enjoyable. Hardly any foot traffic and very little vehicle traffic. This made for it being easy to maneuver the streets and to enjoy the ride without having to worry about being hit (or hitting someone).
What we learned in research: There is a competitive company to Capitol Segway, but we learned their segway units have a governor on them and this limits the fun. Segways are safe. If one has ever rode a bicycle (even if it was 40 years ago), you can be up and riding a segway in 4 minutes of practice - and you do get to practice with a trainer until you are ready (they don't want problems on the tour, so you aren't going until you are ready).
We learned with the 2009 tour, when a group signs up they can outline their own tour, and next year we will do a tour of Georgetown.
Our time schedule: We sit to eat dinner at Old Ebbitt's Grill (one of our favorite - make sure you make reservations a month in advance) two hours in advance, than walk three blocks to Segway. Before Old Ebbitt we did the Washington Monument this year, and a tour of the B&O Canal the prior year. The timing works out perfectly to enjoy Segway. And of course after the tour we walk a few blocks back to Old Ebbitt for dessert and drinks. |

| Segway provides a great way to see a lot of Washinton D.C. in just a few hours. The tour guide gives you a lot of information that you would not get by touring along. The Segway is a fun transportation device that exceeds expectations. Save your legs - Segway! |

| Initially the concept of the segway was intimidating, but the short safety video and some practice time in the shop and at the park was surprisingly enough to get our group on our way! …and our guide Scott was great, lots of patience and confidence in us!
I was also impressed that we all wore the headsets that allowed us to clearly hear all the facts about the buildings and the areas along the way. I would recommend this tour to anyone and I will specifically look for the same type of tour in any city I visit. |

Couple on a Date |
| We did 2 segway tours of Washington DC during our vacation week. Unfortunately, we found this tour to be less than enjoyable. Our tour guide seemed more concerned about herself...consistently drove well out in front of tour members, left various participants stranded at intersections (4 times during our tour), recited the tour as though reading from a book. At one point, a participant of the tour had a problem...if not for several other members of the group waiting well back of the guide, she would have been completely lost as the guide had traveled approximately 6 blocks ahead and made several turns without realizing the problem. There were issues with the microphones provided ~ of my wife and I, my battery died and her complete unit was replaced. Unfortunately, it was over 20 minutes before we could get the attention of our "GUIDE' in order to communicate our problem!!
In all, the tour wasn't very interactive or friendly. I found the constant talking into my earpiece to be distracting when driving in traffic. Further, much of the tour was on pedestrian walkways...navigating around walkers was a challenge but our guide didn't seem to mind...or care...if we fell behind. There are other tours...I'd recommend City Segway Tours in Washington DC. |
