I highly recommend the Segway tour of DC. I would especially recommend the EVENING tour (in the summer). Our guide, Nick, was knowledgeable, courteous, and fun. Going on this tour in the evening was wonderful because the temperature is so much nicer at that time and because it is less crowded at the major sites. In our two hour trip we saw absolutely everything. When I got back to our apartment after the tour, I looked at a map to get some directions for the next morning. It was amazing how much we covered in two hours. We could never have done what we did on the bus tours or by car. I appreciated that our guide Nick knew the path well enough to caution us about hazards on our path and to stop at the photogenic places, in addition to telling us a little background about what we were viewing. At first, I was worried about being able to 'drive' the Segway, the radio sets that are used on the tour, and crossing the street on the Segway before we started. Nick gave us thorough instructions and plenty of practice time before we got started. Part of your tour cost includes free earbuds for the radio communication system they use on the tour. The practice time that you get enables you to get comfortable with following your guide across the street. Now that I've done one Segway tour, I'll definitely do it again the next time that I have a chance.

I was so impressed with our tour guide Nick. He made the adventure in Washington DC fun and exciting. I have to admit I was a little over confident at one time and started to go very fast. I panicked and Nick talked me down and brought me to a safe speed. If you are thinking about going on a Segway tour in Washington DC ask for Nick he has a dry sense of humor and makes the tour extra fun. It was FUN with a capital F!!!

Segways are a great way to tour any city since they are very easy and intuitive to ride and allow you to get to a lot of places in a little it of time. You can also get to places that you couldn't get to on a tour bus since they can go on sidewalks. The tour guide was funny and informative and always made sure that everyone in our group was keeping up. I'd highly recommend this to anyone wanting to tour DC!

Did the Segway tour on Saturday with some family members and we had a blast! The guides were friendly and knowledgeable, with enough interesting bits of information to keep even this local tuned in. I recommend this tour to out-of-towners and locals alike, and frankly, we had as much fun riding the Segways as we did with the tour itself!

Segway is the best way! The tour was the highlight of the weekend for us. After a short safety video and about 15 minutes of Segway familiarization, we hit the streets of DC. The staff was awesome. Our tour guide was extremely friendly and always open for questions. We stopped at numerous locations and took more than enough pictures of attractions and so forth. Each group member is supplied with a headset, you take a break after about an hour of zipping through the city, and additional stops along the route are permitted upon request.

My husband and I have done 2 other segway tours (Germany and Disney World) so we knew we would like it. Sure enough, it was great! This one was different since we did the nighttime one (9:30pm) and I think that made it even better. It was cooler (we visited in July) and there were less people, plus seeing all the monuments lit up gave us a whole different perspective. Jamey (our tour guide) was very funny and made the tour very interesting with all of his knowledge about D.C. I highly recommend doing the tour early during your visit (like the first day/night). You will learn things that will help you plan your visit better--from a local no less! Another huge plus for us was the amount of time spent on the intro...not too short, not too long. Since we had already done 2 segway intros we were well-versed in how to operate one. The review was nice and not too cheesy. Don't be afraid....if you can stand, you can ride a segway without any problems. I promise you will have fun!

The tour was amazing but I had trouble with purchasing tickets online. The website didn't clearly state the date of the tour so I mistakenly bought tickets for Monday (the day of the purchase) instead of Wednesday. The staff wasn't very helpful with this situation, claiming that it wasn't their problem because online ticket purchase is exclusively managed by Z-serve. This was a great activity, but please make the website clearer to avoid errors in ticket purchase and make the tour staff more cohesive with online ticket purchase.

It was a blast. I still see images of my wife (she is so cute) leaning forward, dilligently keeping pace with our tour guide. We'd never been on seways before. They trained us, gave us some time on or own, worked with us individualy, and when we were ready, they gave us the tour. The tour could've had a few more stops, it was cool, piloting our convertible pods thru DC on a beautiful day, very interactive. Our tour guide didn't even scold me that bad when i got into a wabble testing the handling abillity of the segway at top speed.
