See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

The segway tour was highly recommended to me by a family member who lives in the area and takes all visitors. She was unable to go with me, but I decided to do it anyway and am SO GLAD I did. It was awesome. The 6:30pm tour was perfect, the weather, the sky, and of course the segway was a BLAST. I was nervous about "driving" it but it was so intuitive - anyone could and SHOULD do this!!! I can't imagine how long it would have taken to see all those amazing sites on foot.

The tour was relaxing and casual, with more than enough information from the guides. Traveling on the Segway was a unique and fun way to cover the distances between landmarks quickly. We were also very fortunate to have ideal weather, and our tour was during the evening, which added a nice touch. We both had a blast, and highly recommend this as a great alternative to boring bus or walking tours.

The weather was perfect....the segways fun! The pre-training got us well prepared to ride and it was an absolute blast. I would recommend that the website mentions that people might want to provide their own bug spray and water. I did wish I had a bottle of water on the ride and we did have a small issue with bugs!

Saw all the good sites; fun riding the Segway

This was the 2nd time I have taken this tour. This time, i wanted to take my daughter who absolutely love it!! The price is reasonable & the tour encompassed all the sites & monuments you travel to DC to see. Riding the segway was easy & my daughter, who has never ridden one before, caught on within minutes. They are so much fun & the tour guides are always so friendly.

I highly recommend Capital Segway! I live in DC and had my sister and mother visiting. I wanted to show them around without using those big tour buses or walking all day long. Our tour guide was great and the Segways were so much fun to ride. This is the best way to tour DC, period!

Our group had a great time learning how to ride the Segways, as this was our first time on the Segways. Had we not taken the Segway tour we would have not seen as many sites as we did while we were in Washington DC. We would recommend this tour to anyone who is visiting Washington DC. We had a great time.

A group of coworkers and I are on temporary assignment to Washington DC from different parts of the country. We are staying in a location that enables us to walk to and from work every day, which is how we first spotted the Segways. We had all heard of them before but never seen them up close nor had the opportunity to operate them. We booked a tour (very easy, no confusing processes, etc.) and we were completely thrilled with the experience. Two hours is a great tour length and gives one plenty of time to get comfortable and enjoy riding the Segway. We are all here for another six weeks and plan on doing this at least once more, if not twice! The price seems a little expensive at first, especially if you're paying for a whole family, but it is worth every penny!! The tour guides (ask for Adam) were knowledgeable and personable, which makes a big difference. I cannot think of any reason not to try this!! And, it looks harder than it is...at first you will be a little wobbly, and unsure of yourself on it. But, after a little while, it becomes an "extension" of you and starts to feel very natural. You will not be disappointed!!

Unless you were in the front of the group, you missed the beginning of the information being shared with the group. Although we had fun, maybe a little more time should be given to allow all the riders to arrive.
