Best way is really to walk with a guide, but if you don't have the time and/or the stamina for it, the Segway Tour with a guide is the way to go. |

A few couples all over the age of 55 decided this might be a fun way to see the city. It far exceeded our expectations as we imagined what other cities we'd like to see this way. I highly recommend it. A few minutes of instruction is all it takes and the guides were great, They even took pictures for us. Don't forget to tip them!! |

This proved to be the touring highlight for our family while in DC. Though my wife and I have Segwayed before, this was the first time for our teenagers and they loved it. We found our guides to be extremely helpful , courteous, and knowledgeable of the city. Great job of getting the group through the city safely. We would highly recommend this to anyone visiting DC. Segways are a blast!

Using the Segway was easier than we first thought and practicing in the park was a good way to improve our skills prior to "real" use. The tour was a good way of seeing the highlights without feeling worn out or tired. The cost was not overpriced as the whole experience was very enjoyable and worth much more. Our tour guide, Tyler, was patient, informative and an excellent resource for questions. The traffic and pedestrian interaction was not a problem, and rolling along the entire route was very smooth and easy. We would recommend the Segway tour as an easy way to see the highlights without the physical exertion of walking or other methods of transportation. Riding the Segway was enjoyable in and of itself. |

My husband and I decided to take a trip to celebrate our 1 year anniversary, and traveling from Philadelphia to DC for a weekend was reasonable. In our search for an "event" for the weekend, my husband found the Capital Segway tours and thought it would be worth a shot. We had a fabulous time!! Our tour guides were very friendly and easy-going. They made me feel very at ease with figuring out how to use the Segway's, and spent time allowing us to get used to them before venturing out for the tour. And what a way to see the city! They're a ton of fun, easy to figure out, and we had a great time snapping pictures from a-top our perch. The guides were informative, and encouraged us to have fun on the Segway's when we got to open spaces. Now we are looking for other cities that offer these tours just so that we can take them! I'd recommend Capital Segway to anyone looking to take a tour of DC, or even just looking to have a good time for the afternoon! The Segway's are so much fun, if I had the money, I'd get one myself! |

Good weather, though a bit cold (March) so you might want to wear gloves on a cooler day (our guide had a few pair to loan out). We really enjoyed our guide. Noel was fun and informative and keep a close eye on everyone. We only went as fast as the slowest of our group. I think it was just right for everyone. There were 8 in the group and ages ranged from 21 to 70+. Everyone seemed to have a really fun time. It was a great way to see so much in a short couple of hours. We'll definitely do this again! |

These folks were terrific! Great new equipment, quick and secure instruction, and friendly guides that really were interested in knowing you personally (calling us by first name always). They gave us safety-first management for the entire tour group, while presenting just the right amount of historical facts and interesting trivia about Washington. I would highly recommend them. Good value, great pictures, and a highlight experience for my out-of-town guests! |

Wonderful for the entire family. Our group included (hard to please) teenagers, my wife and I, with no previous Segway experience. A GREAT time was had by all. A terrific way to see the sites of Washington. If you have only a short time in DC, this is a nice way to spend it. If you have multiple days, I would suggesting taking the Segway tour first, and then spend the remainder of your time seeing the sites you identified from your Segway. Tour guides were very friendly and clearly enjoyed their "work". Finally, I thought the 2 hour tour was a good choice as longer tours would produce information overload for our brains and fatigue for our feet. |

The twilight tour was awesome and afforded the opportunity to see areas you can't easily get to on foot. Capitol plaza above the visitor center lit at night; monuments as the sun set, and fun tour guides young Drew and younger Drew. This is an activity for all ages (ages 16 to 68 in our family) and an activity to do regardless of whether you have lived in DC for years, visited dozens of times, or are a 1st time visitor. Best value of our entire Cherry Blossom long weekend. |

I have been interested in the Segway since they came out, but other than on TV, I had never actually seen one. When going to a new city, I like to take one or more tours to look around and find out what I would like to see more of. With this opportunity, we were able to combine both interest. The Segway guided tour was great. We got up close to the White House and other buildings that you can't drive to. Our guide was knowledgeable and friendly. The machine was easily learned in a couple of minutes, and you could stop even thinking about controlling it after a few minutes. Did I mention that we set the pace of the tour, and to a general routing request, controlled were we went.
If you have a chance to do a Segway tour, do it. You will love it. |
