Touring Washington DC with Segways

I highly recommend this activity. We were on a 2 hour tour and got to see the white house, capitol building, and multiple other government offices. The tour guides were super nice and very helpful. They stopped at every major landmark and gave a brief history of it. They also let you just let you have fun riding the segways!

Nice Ride

I went on the tour on the 4th of July and had a great time. Since I am from the area, I was not really interested in the tour, but rather enjoyed riding the segways and seeing the buildings up close. The staff was very friendly, and it was neat getting the crowd's attention as we zoomed by.

What great fun! We arrived at the location, viewed a video, and then had training within the facility. Then we ventured out to a park across the street to get the true feel of riding the Segway. Then off we went with the guides to see the city. They were excellent in their training, leadership and knowledge of the local sites. We will do this again!

the tour was ok...the segway's were fun- but you couldn't really look up to see what was going on around you. tour guides did not wait until everyone was there before they started talking- so I often missed the first part of what was being said. our female tour guide was great- the guy didn't seem too excited about things- and may have already done too many tours that day...

This tour was the best tour I have been on! I got to see a lot of Washington DC and learned about the local points of interest while having fun on the segway. It was interactive and educational. I would definately do it again and recommend it to anyone has has never done a Segway tour. The only complaint I have is some of the tour guides are more "in to it" than others which can make a difference in your experience. If one is upbeat and excited about the tour it gets you excited. If the other is monotone and appears to be bored than you too pick up on that vibe.

Washington Segway

We both though the tour was very good. We would have like the opportunuty to get off at some point. It is a lot of standing. The most dificult part of learnng the Segway is going up the sidewalk handicap ramps. We both though better training and practice to get across the street was needed. The Segways were a lot of fun. The tour part was limited to short stops here and there did not give much time for discriptions or stories. We thought if the tour guide a handfree radio and we all had receivers in our helmets it would have made the tour better. We both enjoyed it and might do it again in another city if we had the chance.

My 18 yr old daughter, my wife and I took a morning tour in July '08 and had a blast. The staff had us riding in 5 minutes and took us all over downtown. My daughter had a great time, my wife loved it and I didn't want to give it back when our time was up. We'll definately do this again.
