I can highly recommend this segway tour, especially the night tour where there were few other tourists around and we had the streets pretty much to ourselves. A great way to see Washington DC!

I highly recommend Capital Segway Tours. The staff was incredibly helpful in the training of the segway use. They made me feel at ease. Also their knowledge of DC history was well grounded and informative !! Awesome group !!

What a great way to have an overview of most visited places in DC while riding one of the coolest trasport devices. It certainly was a blast! Very friendly service and an A+ experience all around.

Nervous at First But......

Being on the segway took me a little time to get used to but...IT WAS AMAZING. The tour guides were the most patient and sweetest ever. You can learn a little facts along the way but those arent nearly as interesting as perfecting the segway ride. We went quite a good distance and I loved it. Would definitely do it again and now my husband wants to buy one!

Fun way to see DC

We would highly recommend this tour. The guides were great, the tour route was interesting, and riding the Segway was so much fun. We thought that it would take some time to get used to riding on the Segway - but it honestly only took a couple of minutes before we were comfortable enough to zip around the city. We are DC locals and are planning on taking this tour again this summer.

This Segway tour was chosen as an introductory overview for our arrival day to Washington, DC. None of us had ever done a Segway before. We did not expect that in the end everyone would consider it the highlight of our entire trip! Our two parents -- seniors (70+) -- learned the Segway in minutes and thoroughly enjoyed the guides, the ride and the whole experience.

Segways are fun...but

Segways are easy to learn how to use and a lot of fun. An excellent way to get from site to site in Washington. However, the "tour" aspect was lacking in that "newbies" on an Segway are focused on the machine and cannot absorb the content of the tour guides as much as they might otherwise. Also, city noise makes it difficult to hear a group which, because of being on Segways, cannot be gathered close enough to the speaker.
