| My husband and I (Virginia locals) were looking for a fun activity that we could do with our out of town daughters and their boyfriends. A friend told us about this tour and we decided that it would be something unique to do. The 6 of us had a blast! We did not want to stop! The segways were easy and extremely fun to ride. Our tour guides were great and Washington was beautiful as we glided by. We took many fantastic photos of D.C. monuments and buildings. We have shared our experience with everyone that will listen! |

| My nephew and I had a blast riding on these things. Our guide was very knowledgeable and gave us a great tour but to be honest just riding on the segway is pretty distracting. The only drawback which has nothing to do with our guide is that the national park restricts where you can go, so don't expect to go west of the Washington Monument (i.e. the Lincoln memorial, Vietnam wall, WWII memorial, etc.)
I would still strongly recommend it and find some other way to get to the other memorials. |

| Easy to learn, easy to ride, and incredibly fun. Views of buildings you can't get from a tour bus and great tour leaders. |

| What a great way to tour the major monuments and buildings around the Mall, in a fraction of the time it takes to walk, enjoying the oohs and aahs of mere pedestrians sweating in the heat as you create your own breeze, gliding by effortlessly on your Segway as though you had always known how to ride one.
Really folks, it's easy, and the tour guides at Capitol Segway are very attentive to your needs, and very well informed, and entertaining, about the sights along the tour.
While the tour buses park at the bottom of Capitol Hill, and their passengers climb up several flights of stairs to the fountain at the base of the Captiol, you just glide up the sidewalk in a matter of seconds, and zip around the fountain area taking pictures, enjoying the view across the reflecting pool toward the Washington Monument. If you're really lucky, like we were, we saw Marine One, the President's helicopter, cross between us and the Monument, for a landing at the White House.
Don't pass up an opportunity to try this very personalized type of tour, while you enjoy coasting along on a powerful Segway that moves merely by "thinking" about moving. |

| Oh my gosh! I had read lots of reviews that really built up this Segway tour, so we weren't sure if it could really be all that good. BUT...it definitely was!
Our guides, Aaron and Nick, helped everyone learn the basics of the Segway in the safe confines of their store, then we ventured to a small park across the street for some "real" practice. Even the people who were a little hesitant (like my wife) were like pros within just a few minutes...then off we went.
WOW! How fun! Sure, we got to see some of the great sights in DC, and Aaron and Nick know a lot about the history of DC, but the best part was the riding around on these fantastic machines. You really feel like you're gliding through the streets and sidewalks, and you cover so much ground in this two-hour tour.
Only one small negative...one of the guides, Nick, didn't seem to have as much "customer service" training as Aaron did. Aaron always made us feel comfortable and made sure we were having fun. Nick seemed to act a little more like it was just a job to him. But, please take that as a very minor glitch in what was otherwise a fantastic experience.
Can't say enough great things about this. We didn't want to stop!
Do it! We would definitely do this again. |

| Segways are easy to ride, safe and more fun than anything else on wheels. The tour is just long enough to be interesting without becoming tiring. The tour guide is friendly, informative and very helpful for those few riders who may be a bit unsure of themselves in the beginning. There is nothing not to love about touring the DC sites on a Segway. My wife and daughter, who claim that the gene for coordination is missing in their family, were riding like pros in a couple of minutes. We all felt like kids again. |

| This by far was the highlight of my visit to DC. The segways were easy to learn and a blast to ride. The guides were knowledgeable and very helpful along the tour. What a leisurely way to see some of the national mall. It sure beats walking!
Only wish the tour was longer and got to see the whole mall end to end...but that's just me. Maybe I'll do that when I buy my own Segway.
Take this tour. Highly recommended. |
