| My husband and I are frequent visitors to DC for business, but rarely have a chance to enjoy all the city has to offer. We were looking for something different, and even though we didn't really need another "tour," this was a great way to cover the highlights of DC. The guides were fun and helpful, the ride was fantastic! So easy, it only took a few minutes to get the hang of it and then we were off...we'll do it again next time just because it was so much fun! |

| Segways are a bit tricky for the first couple minutes, then it's very simple. Staff is helpful and relaxed. One of our best family outings ever. (We have 2 teenagers- they thought it was totally cool) |

| The tourist angle aside, riding the segways was so much fun. The instructors did a great job beforehand letting us get a good feel for them before turning us loose on the streets of D.C. For those of you who may be apprehensive, the segways are incredibly easy to operate. They are very responsive to the operator's movements, and I never had the slightest feeling during the trip that I wasn't in control! The tour guides were humorous and fun and all in all it was a thoroughly enjoyable experience. I will definitely recommend it to anyone I know who plans to visit D.C. My only negative feedback is that it was too short. The whole trip was only about an hour and a half of actual riding time and I was expecting at least 2 so that was kind of a letdown. Otherwise, BRAVO! |

| My sister and our two husbands had an absolute blast! This was definitely a highlight of our trip to DC and would advise even the timid to go for it! We all quickly got the hang of it and wished we didn't have to give them back when the tour finished! This tour is an outside viewing tour, not an indoor tour of any monuments or musuems you pass by, but that's the fun in it - riding!!!! And there was always a guide at the lead and another at the rear of the group to assist in any way. A big plus is that each bike has a zippered pouch on the handle bar to store your purse, camera, or other item - very convenient! Give your feet a break - it sure beats walking DC! Make it a 'Bucket List' experience - a must do on your trip to DC! |

| This is a fun way to get around the east end of Washington DC's National Mall; it's too bad that the Segway's aren't allowed west of the Washington Monument. The two guides pointed out things on the tour that we would have missed on our own. The safety video and short training session get you ready for the ride as well as pointing out what situations to avoid. As one of the guides put it, the hardest thing about beginning to ride a Segway is trusting the equipment. The first step up onto it and finding that it does balance was the only hard part. I found it to be a lot like skiing in the way you control the Segway.
Don't pass up this opportunity when visiting DC. |

| It's all about the Segway.
Yes, you'll cover a lot of territory in a short amount of time. For a tourist with a time crunch, this can be a lifesaver. Let's face it, Washington DC is a big city, and walking here is a lovely way to spend a day. But if you really want to get the Cliffs Notes version, take this tour. You'll get a (brief) overview of places you might want to come back to see in depth later.
You'll hear some tidbits of information you most likely won't hear anywhere else. You'll leave knowing why the Washington Monument is two colors, and how to tell if the President is in.
The real reason to take this tour is the Segway! Of course I was as nervous as a bride on her wedding night. But the guides were kind and did not once laugh at me as I wobbled around the room on my first tries to manage the machine. And within minutes, I was not wobbling, but flowing! Graceful turns and sweeping floats across the room.
Once the door was opened and we were to make our debut to the public, I took a mighty gulp, and out I ventured. Can I manage the slight dip down the curb ramp and across the street? No problem. Can I really swoop around the park without getting yelled at? Yes, I can. This begins to feel so natural!
And off we went on our tour. They really do not limit how fast you can go. I'm not sure if I topped out on speed, since the "stick" leaned back in to me so mildly that I may have imagined it. But my poncho was flowing behind me like a superhero's cape. I never have skied, but slaloming in and out of trees was (in my imagination, at least) a fair approximation.
I can't wait until I get to do this again. |

| What a wonderful tour. We heard a lot of facts so those of us that were in to the educational value really appreciated that. All of us really enjoyed the Segway. What a fun and easy method of transportation. Every time I go to DC my feet hurt and I am exhausted from walking. Not so with our Segway tour. My only regret was that DC will not allow the Segways in some places. I would have loved to have stayed on the Segway and gone even farther than we did. I highly recommend this method of transportation/seeing DC. You'll still want to go to some additional places but you can get a lot done this way and it's soooo enjoyable. |

| I could not ask any more from our Segway tour of DC. Even the required safety presentation was fun. Both guides were chock full of interesting information regarding the sites and were most courteous and cordial. I would take that trip again in a heartbeat! |

| The tour was a blast. Riding around on a Segway is the bomb! We had many of the walking tourists asking us how we got to ride the Segway. So, we handed out brochures that were on board the Segway.
The places we visit were great. Wish we could have gone over to the Lincoln and Jefferson Memorials though. We would recommend the Segway to anyone visiting Washington D.C. The tour guides were awesome and the Segway's are easy to
use.
So, Thanks for a wonderful time, Capital Segway! |
