See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

IN TOWN FOR DAUGHTERS WEDDING. TOOK SON AND FRIENDS ON THE TOUR FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. BEEN TO DC MANY TIMES, SO MORE THE THRILL OF THE SEGWAY THAN THE LOCATION. BUT THE COMBINATION IS GREAT. GOOD TOUR GUIDES, INSTRUCTIVE, INFORMATIVE. ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY. GAVE GIFT CERTIFICATES TO OTHERS TO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE. WOULD SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE. STEVE AND SUE

We loved it. Wish I could buy one of these. After two or three minutes, you completely master how to ride one.

Our family included four adults (two over fifty, two younger). Learning to ride the segway was fun and fairly easy for all of us. Our guide seemed reasonably knowledgeable though the history aspect of the tour was secondary to the fun of traveling around the city on the segway. Our two hour tour was about right. One hour would have been way too short. More than two hours might have been a little much for me, though the younger members of our group were ready for more. I suppose the high cost of the tour is due to the expensive equipment, but it was a little pricey.

I really enjoyed the tour. The guides were great, and shared a lot of history about construction, materials and the politics. The only thing that I would change would be to allow a place to "park" the Segway to allow for some occassional photography. Other than that, it was a great experience! Steve

Great fun. The headphones that you wear to hear the tour guides is a great idea! Recommend highly! Lots of fun!

I decided to surprise my mom (61 years old) with this tour on our recent trip to DC. I don't know how to sum up her opinion better than by using her own words, "This was the most fun I've had in YEARS!" This is coming from a woman who has fun just about every chance she can. It's almost as if the Segway was invented just for DC. Zooming down the streets and sidewalks was exhilarating. We spent the day before walking through the National Mall, and we should have skipped it and waited because touring it on Segway was SOOO much better. Anyways, I cannot do service to how cool this tour way in words because I have to cut this short. All I can say is, if you have any doubts about your ability to handle something like this, at least go down there and give it a shot. Our entire class was handling these things like champs within 10 minutes of practicing.

Guide was awesome and the Segways were top notch. Have nothing bad to say. Researched other places that had segways in DC and the 500 dollar deposit they make you put down is simply crazy. Capital is everything they say they are--great Segways, great guides, great headphones (heard everything clearly) just an amazing, fun 2 hours.

We had a small group of five - myself, a married couple and two friends. Noah, our guide, was fantastic! He was knowledgeable, helpful, informative, friendly and non-intrusive. The experience was joyous! I had ridden a Segway PT prior to this tour, but the unfettered nature of this tour in our nation's capital was simply fantastic. I will do this again and again with family and friends. Thank you, Capital Segway!!!

My adult daughter and two sisters took the Segway Washington on advice from my brother. I was looking forward to it but yet a little skeptical due to my age. Once we were there and they showed us how to operate it and also got to practice in the park I felt more at ease and comfortable with the adventure. However one of my younger sisters was very apprehensive. The manager (sorry forgot his name) was very nice and concerned. He told her he would rather her feel comfortable and his first concern is for the safety of his customers. He does not want anyone to get hurt. Once she heard we would be riding in the street she said "NO WAY". He generously refunded her money and she waited for us to return. This says something about your manager that he really does care about your customers. Scott was our instructor in Washington, DC and what an asset to your company. He was great. Very patient-We had six (all women young and elderly) and he was very patient and watched over all of us like a mother hen. He explained all the tourist spots we stopped and went by and gave us a little history along the way. He also took the time to take pictures with everyones camera if we requested it. He was a joy to be with. Unfortunately two hours does not seem like enough time (I'm sure it was for scott) to see everything. This Segway Tour was worth every penny and I am so glad I decided to take the opportunity and do your excellent tour. Please feel free to give my recommendation to anyone you wish. This was our first Segway experience and it was magical. This was the perfect way to see D.C. The tour guides were excellent, and we found it very, very easy to learn to use a Segway safely in a crowded environment. We will definitely recommend this (and other Segway experiences) to family and friends.
