See The City Tour - A Segway Tour of Washington DC

If you want to see the Washington highlights, this is the best way to go. Don't be afraid to go alone - the tour guide made me feel welcome and the others in the group were very nice. A fun way to spend a couple of hours. Segway is the way to go.

I would highly recommend this tour as a different and interesting way to see DC. While the tour doesn't cover everything and isn't detailed, it does a great job covering many things for the time alloted to it. Would be great if it covered some memorials on the mall. Not 100% positive, but this is one company that provides wireless headsets so you can hear your guide while riding. The Segways themselves were in great condition and easy to learn! One annoyance is the "service fee" charged by Zerve for my online booking. Perhaps you can avoid this fee if you call/walk up, but the website does not offer these alternatives. It would be nice if Capital Segway highlighted ways to avoid the service fee on their website. I did not get any tickets (other than printed confirmation) and nothing was mailed to me, so the service charge seems to be a charge in the "just because we can" category.

We were SO glad we chose to tour DC on a segway. The anticipation was great and the tour itself was memorable for sure. Any concerns about one's ability to operate the machine were quickly put to rest as the training was more than adequate. We had a larger group so a bit more tour time was dedicated to learning how to operate the machine than we might have liked but better safe than sorry. We had two guides (one seasoned and one training). The more experienced one was very enjoyable (so glad to have the headsets) while the inexperience was obvious with the other. He was bright and probably could easily have included much more history and much less "dissing of coworkers" and university-style humour. Our group was predominantly middle aged folks so that was really unnecessary. I am confident he will be really good with more experience. Anyway! We loved the experience and will DEFINITELY participate in a Segway tour in the next city where we visit that makes it available. We HIGHLY recommend Capital City Segway to EVERYONE we talk to about our trip! Sincerely, Ingrid

A fun way to see all the important spots in DC. The Guides were informative and fun.

I have been to D.C. a dozen times and you do run out of things to do and this was a blast! Saw so much in a short period of time but riding the Segway was pure joy!! Can't wait to do it again in another city.

Lots of fun- great guide too

John & Andrew were great teachers & guides. However, less creative commentary & more historical accuracy would be 1 way to seriously improve the tour (sorry Andrew). The Segways that tilt when accelerating seemed to our party of 5 to be less fun & less safe than the kind that remain flat at all times. All of us found the tilt disconcerting, & it was part of a near accident. Thanks to John & Andrew for a great tour overall, & especially to Andrew for saving our Maddie when she panicked & almost went into traffic.

Evening tour is awesome. Because we had a small group 6 we were able to tour additional areas. Liked the tour so much I went back on Thursday for another tour. I have been to DC 4 times and this was one of the most enjoyable activities I did. Segways are a gas and loads of fun

Riding the Segway was fun and the tour was very interesting. The tour guide was professional, safety minded and well informed with interesting details concerning what we were seeing.
