Max was a great tour guide. Very personable and knowlegable. The personal sound systems worked great allowing people to continue to ride the segway rather than group around for a lecture. Highly recommend CapSegway for their professionalism and fun time!

Will was a great tour guide, with lots of information about the city. This was the second time I've toured a major city on Segways. I absolutely LOVE them-even checked on buying a couple or putting in a business in my home city. They are so much fun and easy to adapt to. The traffic in DC was just a little daunting, but we managed it quite well and of course along mall area you can be out of the traffic zones. I would recommend a Segway tour to anyone. The orientation video makes it seem more complicated than it really is-sort of a CYA thing, so don't be intimidated. Riding a Segway is super easy and so much fun. Love it, love it, love it!!

The Best Tour Ever!

This method was without a doubt the very best way to see a great deal of the important things in the city without wasting a lot of time. The activity itself was extraordinary. The Segway is unconditionally the most unique and comfortable way to travel. Given the opportunity I would choose this method of touring any city. As you may have guessed both my wife and I enjoyed ourselves. Thanks for the inventiveness.

Excellent way to see DC!

Karen, our guide, was awesome! She provided great detail and as well as little known facts that made the trip even better. My only issue was that the headphones (great idea) tended to cut in and out as leader spoke. Made it hard to get all info. However great way to zoom around DC!

zipping through DC on a Segway was cool!

We wanted to do something with our 17 year old son because he did not come to see much of DC with us and our 8 and 12 year old daughters. We thought the Segway tour at night was a great way to see DC at night - which we were told was a must do - and something a little more interesting for a teenager. It was perfect. Although we zipped right by a few places, it didn't matter because this was the last thing we did in DC. Wouldn't recommend doing a Segway at night when you first get there because you'd want to stop and look more than you're really able. The tour guide was very knowledgable and made it fun. I don't think you'd be able to zip around like we did if it was daytime, so that was an added thrill. I'll be looking for Segway tours for my next vacation.

Very good, couple of things to make it better

First of all I was hesitant to do this because of the price. Afterward, I would shout from the rooftops to make people go. It was fun, well organized and just the best 2 hours of my 4 days in Washignton. That being said, there are a couple of things you could do to make it even more fun and memorable. First, take a tip from the Duck Tours and get some Segway whistles made you can give away. The one thing that was annoying was silently buzzing by pedestrians or being stopped by them. Several people in my group commented that the Segway should have a bike bell on it. We went one step further and said they should have whistles like the duck tours have to blow at people to move. It would also make a nice souvenir of the trip, is somethign pedestrians respond to more than "RIGHT" and should not cost much. Second, during the rest break, letting people have a little time to get a drink would be nice. I know you have to get a lot of sights in but by the end our entire group was just starving for a drink even tho our day was really nice for the tour. You don;t realize how hot it is when you are driving and it sneaks up on you when you stop. Third, offer more gift shop options for purchase than just one t-shirt. I would have bought a shirt, a mug, or something else that had Capital Segway on it if I had a choice. The red shirt was nice but just a little too promotional. A black t-shirt with the Segway logo and your phone number would have been nice. Or a coffee mug. Or a tumbler you could take with you on the tour with water. Finally, the tours should be an opportunity to turn Segway riders into Segway owners. Have a take away sheet with a list of Segway Dealers and other tours across the country so this doesn't turn into a one off experience. Ideally, offer a discount on a Segway purchase that refunds the user their tour fee. $70 off a $5400 piece of machinery is tiny but something that the person on the tour doesn't know when they see they could get their tour fee back. Hopefully this helps and feel free to contact me for more info and ideas. It really was a wonderful time.
