| At first I didn't think this would be so much fun! I learned to ride the Segway in just five minutes. The next two hours were great fun and educational as the guide was very knowledgeable. We went by all of the "must see" places and made mental notes of what we wished to see more of later. After the initial few minutes I felt totally in control and really enjoyed traveling the sidewalks, negotiating the barriers, and swooping in and out of the trees planted there. DO THIS! I want one now! |

| My 16 year-old son and I purchased a Segway tour at his pleading. I was nervous about controlling it and standing on one for that long. After 15 minutes and some "playtime" in the park across the street - I was good to go. My biggest surpises were the amount of ground the tour covered, and having a radio headset to hear the guide. Our guide was Noah and he led sometimes, followed at intersection crossings, and provided alot of information too. About half-way through we took a stretch break that helped me out. The group was 7 people, so it was quite easy to navigate the heavy pedestrian traffic on some sidewalks. My son really got a kick out of the Segway itself, probably more than seeing all the sights. Our tour ended too soon, but we would do it again in a minute.
Best Thing: Driving the Segway is intuitive and you really can't appreciate the agility till you drive one.
Worst Thing: We walked around DC for 5 days before this, so my feet hurt pretty bad. I had to get off and stretch a couple of times.
Suggestions: 1-Plan ahead and reserve your tour a week ahead of time, we almost missed out. 2-Do this tour the first day in DC, the route might help you get your bearings and your feet won't hurt like mine did... 3-Zerve needs to add in their directions that Capital Segway is across from the 14th & I Metro Station about 1/2 block down I ("eye") street.
We loved it.

| A friend and I recently visited Washington D.C.with our teenage daughters and we wanted to see the sights. We wanted our girls to have a great time since it was our first time in D.C. I happened to be looking for information to tour the white house when I read a comment that said this family was visiting D.C. with teenagers and had taken the segway tour and had the best time ever. They highly recommended the tour so I looked it up. We really had a great time, very informative and we had the best tour guide. Our girls said they had a fantastic time and so did we! |

| We had an absolute BLAST on the Segways. Not only do you get to buzz through the monuments to get a feel for the layout of the area, but you get to have fun too. We suggest booking this tour early in your trip -- it will allow you to cover a lot of ground quickly, and then you spend subsequent days returning to areas you want to linger at. There were interesting tidbits sprinkled throughout the tour, and our guide (Nick) was very accommodating with the pace of the tour. You don't have to have great balance to work the Segway -- if you can stand in one place, you can do it. You are given ample time to get comfortable, and the tour course is not at all challenging. If you have the desire to try it, DO IT -- you won't regret it! |

| The guide was very knowlegeable, friendly and patient. However, he kept saying rain was close and hurrying us, and we ended up with a few sprinkles and back from the tour 45 minutes early. Could have at least used the Segways in the area of the store for the time we paid for, close if it really did rain. He seemed to be in a hurry to go on to other "personal" Saturday night activities. |

| This is a must if you go to DC, we really had a blast. It only took us about 15 minutes to learn how to drive the segways, it was so easy and fun. I would recomend the night tour because DC at night is a site to see.
The guys that gave us the tour knew their city, we learned more about our nation's capital in those 2 1/2 hours than we could on the internet. They told us things we didn't even think to look up and you didn't even know you got a history lesson until later when you started thinking about it. We took them up on alot of their suggestions and found the best place to eat, see the city from above without paying for a ticket and just things in general.
If you go to DC, you won't want to miss this..... |
