| IN TOWN FOR DAUGHTERS WEDDING. TOOK SON AND FRIENDS ON THE TOUR FOR SOMETHING DIFFERENT. BEEN TO DC MANY TIMES, SO MORE THE THRILL OF THE SEGWAY THAN THE LOCATION. BUT THE COMBINATION IS GREAT. GOOD TOUR GUIDES, INSTRUCTIVE, INFORMATIVE. ENJOYED IT THOROUGHLY. GAVE GIFT CERTIFICATES TO OTHERS TO ENJOY THE EXPERIENCE. WOULD SUGGEST IT TO ANYONE.

| I was very impressed with the tour company. They had new Segways, and didn't limit the speed like some companies do. Helmets were new, and the office was adequate for initial training to get comfortable on the machine.
The guide/instructor was generally good at first. I felt good about riding in the local area, and she pointed out the sites with good knowledge and speaking ability.
My complaint was when a gentleman in our group hit a chain support pole because he wasn't looking where he was going. It was completely his fault, which he acknowledged, but because he may have been injured, the tour was delayed. That was no problem--we wanted to be sure he was okay. However, the guide looked like she was completely in shock and didn't take any action. She asked if he was okay, but essentially stood there and looked at him until a Park Policeman came up and called an ambulance. Then we stood/rode around for about 45 minutes until another person from the shop could come get us. Since we had time to kill, we wanted to ride around the local area, but she said it wasn't allowed. My gut feeling was she just didn't want to lose control of her group. If that's the case, tell us, but don't get frantic and start saying things are ALL off limits when they're really not.
Suggestions:
1. Guides should be proactive. Call the ambulance, and let them determine if the person is hurt.
2. Sometimes things are scheduled tightly. Allow those people who need to leave to get back to the shop when they have to. As it was, we were late because we had to wait for someone to get us back, even though we knew where we were and where we had to go.
3. Provide maps of the proposed tour route. Then if something happens and people need to head back before the end of the tour, they can follow the map.
4. If you let us know ahead of time that certain things are not allowed (like riding on the Mall), we won't be surprised when you throw that at us when something unusual happens. In fact, a very quick overview of the actual tour would be nice...nothing detailed, but a slide with an overhead view, which contains the unusual items, would only take a minute or two, but would minimize surprises.
*The company should be able to allow this with proper liability releases and positive ID checks if they're worried about theft, etc. |

| My wife and I wanted to doing something fun and different for her mom and step father while they were in town for vacation. I saw the video of the Caps taking a tour with Capital Segway and thought, I need to try that out. Finally after months of talking we decided to do it. Will and Adam (our tour guides) were great and fun. They did a great job providing the history behind the buildings and monuments in DC.
None of us had ever been on a Segway before and so some of us were a little nervous. After a shakey start all of us were up and rolling. The tour lasted about 2 hours and provided plenty of time for cruising.
I am glad we finally did it and would recommend it to anyone that wants to learn a little history and get a chance to ride a Segway. It was worth the money and we had a blast. The in-laws are already talking about doing again the next time they are in town. |

| I have toured DC many times but using the SEGWAY was definitely a unique and interesting way to do it a little differently. In a realtively short span of time you get a real overview of the main attractions, and from the comfort of the SEGWAY, you get to enjoy a more leisurely trip.
Riding the SEGWAY in of itself is a great expereice too. Age and physical condition are not limitations on the experience. The sort orientation makes you comfortable enough with the SEGWAY so that I had no concerns during the entire trip. |

| Best way to see almost all historical landmarks in the city. The learning curve to ride the segways takes just minutes to learn. |

| Even though the weather was far from perfect, we had a fantastic time.Noah was very informative and helped out any way he could. Great way to get an overview of attractions and then set the rest of your plans from there |

| Our Segway trip was a highlight of our trip. We got the quick view of the mall that provided context for that part of the trip. The guide (Karen) was very knowledgable and a lot of fun. And riding the Segway was a blast. Definitely going to do that again - just wish the tour was a bit longer. |

| I wanted to take this tour just because I had been curious about riding a Segway. I was pleasantly surprised to find that the tour guides were extremely friendly, competent, and full of interesting facts. This was an amazing way to see the sites in DC, especially if you just want to get a quick overview of everything there is to see. I would recommend taking this tour as soon as you arrive in the DC area. The information in the tour can then be used to plan the rest of your trip as to which sites you are going to re-visit and spend more time at.
Riding the Segway is a blast! I will be taking this same tour again the next time I visit DC. |
